Family Stay

This house is very large and would be great for a group of adults who are visiting the area attractions and restaurants! The kitchen is quite spacious but doesn't have some basics that would have made it more useable (like baking sheets, spatulas, measuring cups). The owner was very responsive to our questions and the neighborhood is close to many area tourist attractions.

Big clean house

Alan was a great host and the house is roomy and comfortable. Our party was six adults and one two-year-old. We loved the kitchen and all the bedrooms. There's a little playground next-door that was perfect for the two-year-old. Alan was very communicative and helpful. There were a couple of blips. We expected a check-in time of 3 pm but, when we arrived at 4:40 pm, the cleaning staff was still there and still 30 minutes from finishing. I doubt that's the norm but I'm glad we didn't arrive at 3. The previous guests had broken the coffee pot so there was effectively no coffee maker, though Alan offered to reimburse us if we replaced it ourselves. And while there were plenty of plates, bowls, silverware, mugs, glasses, and pots for stovetop cooking, we foodies expected much more kitchen equipment like bakeware, mixing bowls, serving dishes, etc. (We've given Alan a big list of suggestions so I'm hopeful it will improve.) Would absolutely rent again.
