A group of us stayed here while taking part in a Spartan Race nearby and really enjoyed our stay here. Bedrooms were very comfortable and the lounge areas of the home were great for hanging out and recouping from the race. Would definitely recommend this home for any group of people checking out local attractions or just wanting to get away for a bit!
Great house with plenty of room, perfect for a group of friends/ large family. Check-in was super easy and everything was clean and in order. Very happy with this house and would definitely return.
My family and I had a great stay. There was so much room to spread out but also loved spending time together playing pool and ping pong. It was super close and convenient to everything we wanted to do.
We had a good time whie staying here. It is big and roomy. The only thing I was supprised was the bathrooms. All bedrooms did not have a bathroom, only the master bedroom did, the one down stairs was a shared bath. It was convient to New River. All and all a nice place to stay
We were visiting the New River Gorge area for the weekend. This house was conveniently located within reach of all the attractions. It was clean with plenty of space. There's was only 1 issue. The house has a pool, which was not operational and wasn't brought to our attention.
The house was very spacious. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and never felt crowded.Location was excellent minutes from hikes, restaurants and adventures.Highly recommend for large families,3 different living spaces to spread out.If back in the area will definitely stay here again.
We had a quick stop by and decided to stay in Fayetteville to enjoy the national park and town. This house was a great find. Very roomy and clean and awesome location.
The location was perfect, close to the New River Gorge and the activities we wanted to do. The house is spacious which gave us all opportunities for quiet time alone or group activities. The bathrooms are large and the showers are awesome. We had a great vacation.
We had a great girls trip at this house. It’s within walking distance to downtown. You have to cross the main road but there is a safe walking bridge you can use to go over the road. Owner was very responsive and nice!
This house was huge, clean, comfortable. The owners were great to communicate with. Location was perfect. We walked to dinner in town and to Bridge Day! We weren’t there long enough to utilize all it had to offer…outdoor deck/tv, fire pit, pool table, ping pong, etc. I think we may need to stay there again!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this comfortable home near to Fayetteville and New River Gorge. I think we utilized all the home areas - the "tv room", the "game and relaxing room", the "pool and ping-pong room", the "outdoor dining room with sunset view", the "outdoor picnic table chill area", and the very comfortable bedrooms! The host was very responsive to questions. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
The house was in the best location for our activities. Plenty of room do no one felt crowded. The kids loved the garage area with ping pong! Overall it fit our needs and would definitely be a repeat destination.
After a day on the water, on a trail or on the town, the house was a pleasant way to to spend our time in WV. The house is huge and more than enough room for the four of us. We enjoyed the kitchen, living room and especially the large deck. The neighborhood is quiet and within 2 miles to New and Gauley River activities. The ping-pong and pool tables were great activities at the house while we were there as well. Choosing this house for your family stay is well worth it.
We came together to celebrate our niece. The house was perfect for our family. Very spacious, lots of places to sit,
talk and enjoy. Every place was clean and comfortable. My two granddaughters enjoyed playing air hockey and just exploring. We loved the porch and the mountain view. Despite a little rain this was truly a memorable weekend. Would happily return!
Great time and always warm! The house was perfect for our group. A few things could be better (better untensils/dishes). We cooked all meals and our Friendsgiving dinner but a few extras would’ve helped. Plenty of room for 8 with the ability to place tons of air mattresses if aloud. We will be hopefully booking a summer trip here in 2023.
We come to Fayetteville most summers for rafting. This house was great because it was close to town and rafting plus gave us activities to do at the house besides just watching tv. The pool table and ping pong table were great! Our grandson spent more time with those than his phone.
The house is huge and plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable. Showers very nice. Lovely back porch! Game table was fun too. You can walk to town but it’s mostly uphill so we preferred to drive.
Our grandson asked to stay here again next year.
My husband and I traveled from Mississippi to meet our son, his wife and 4 kids (ages 5-15). We loved the House on 2nd Ave, there were so many rooms for the kids to spread out. Everyone enjoyed the large porch; from quiet early morning coffee, to full family grilling and eating together, and a quiet place of solitude for the teens at night, the porch was definitely our favorite area. The basement was a close 2nd with air hockey, ping pong, cornhole, and a pool table…. We Had a Blast! The grown ups played a few rounds of roulette and a few hands of Cadillac at the poker/roulette table.
Having a full kitchen meant we never had to eat out and our pocket book appreciated that 😊, not to mention you can’t really talk and get to know each other in a restaurant like you can in a home.
The area offers rafting, beautiful hiking trails, a cool waterpark (BIG HIT for ALL ages) and zip lining through the mountains. We took advantage of it as much as the little ones would allow, then we headed back to the house for a perfect evening each day on the porch. I can not say enough how much we enjoyed our weekend. The kids were already planning what they want to do next year and which room they would get, they want to come back to the same house and I think that says it all😊
