About this property

We've had a great rental property launch this year with wonderful guests providing 5-star ratings of our beautiful cottage and wonderful community. Our renovated cottage offers beautiful lake views, a fully stocked kitchen, new appliances, upgraded furniture, new mattresses, new W/D and two kayaks for your use on Lake Sconti. It sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms and a loft, 2 TVs, free WiFi, indoor fireplace, firepit, gas grill and 2 Kayaks.
Located at the base of the mountain, we are a 5 min. walk to Black Bear Pub & Golf Center, 3 min. stroll to the Lake Sconti beach and a short drive to the Raquet Club, Wellness Center and the Beach Club at Lake Disharoon. A family favorite, the Beach Club offers a swimming pool and lake access including a rockslide and inflatable water park which is open from May 27 - Sept. 4. The Wildcat Pool and Splash Pad at the West Gate area are open from May 27 - Sept 24.
If you're ready to experience nature at its finest, come to Big Canoe and stay at our lovely cottage at the base of the mountain. Launch one of our two kayaks for a tour of Lake Sconti or rent a boat at the marina for a day of trout fishing or a sunset cruise. Hike the trails and experience waterfalls and streams galore. And enjoy a game pickleball at our new open playtime on Tuesdays or a game of tennis at our indoor and outdoor courts.
No matter what season you stay, there is something magical to enjoy at Big Canoe.

New Years Stay

Wonderful property with beautiful view of Lake Sconti and near all amenities! The villa was very well-equipped, and we were treated to fresh flowers and a bottle of champagne! We will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic cottage on the lake

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this cottage. The place was well stocked with everything we needed. Clean and quiet. A quick stroll from the cottage to the quiet beach at the Canoe Club was a nice bonus.

Great girls weekend getaway

This Villa was the perfect size for the 5 of us. Well decorated. Great views and convenient to lake, beach area, clubhouse and trails. We had plenty to do and got in a lot of relaxation and great times. The owner was very helpful.

I recently retired from the application software industry and bought this property to share with my family, friends and you. The vacation rental business is highly competitive which is why I renovated the cottage inside and out with newer furniture, paint, new appliances and plenty of dishes, glasses pots and pans to make you feel right at home. Big Canoe Base Camp is ideal for those who love hiking, boating, swimming, golfing, tennis, pickleball, and the mountains of north GA. When our property isn't rented my family and I enjoy everything Big Canoe has to offer. and will strive to make your stay the best it can be.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location. Our cottage is at the base of the mountain within Big Canoe giving you walkable access to almost everything including the Golf Center, Big Bear Club & Restaurant, and the Lake Sconti Beach. The Wellness Center, Water Park at Lake Disharoon and the Racquet Club are a 5-minute drive. And the cottage is adorable if I do say so myself.

What makes this property unique

The lake view from the deck is to die for and having direct access to the Lake Sconti Beach allows you to launch one of two kayaks we provide for a day of fishing. From time-to-time Big Canoe will host musical entertainment on the beach or set up an outdoor movie night for kids of all ages. Grab a few beach chairs located in the deck box and enjoy.
