PRIVATE BEACH FRONT location with sweeping views of Cape Cod Bay from Plymouth to P-Town. Sunsets are truly unforgettable & lets not forget the long walks on the beach. The MAIN HOUSE is a 3 bedroom 2 bath with a separate fully equipped Guest House with kitchen, bath & bed area. The GUEST HOUSE just equipped this year with "real" air-conditioning! It has s separate full kitchen and bath and one Queen Bed. All rooms have ROKU INTERNET TV. Kitchen in the main house with all appliances and granite counter tops is open to the living and dinning area. New beds in all bedrooms. 2 bathrooms, Master Bedroom and guest bedrooms and kitchen re done over the winter 22-23.

Family Wedding Vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay at this perfect beach location. Great beach access, sunset views, and space for the entire family. Peter is very responsive and wants to make sure his guests have a perfect stay at his property. Would definitely recommend for a great beach week.

Perfect beach vacation!

We had a wonderful week with our grandchildren in this great beach house! We can’t wait to return next year! We have been traveling to Dennis for 30 years and this was the best spot yet!

Beautiful Beach Right Out the Door

This is our second time staying at this house. It is set up perfectly for our family and the direct access to Mayflower Beach cannot be beat!

We've vacationed in Dennis many times over the years. The sunsets are spectacular! We enjoyed the view here, but while this property had the advertised number of rooms and buildings, we found the kitchen to be small. And we had to wash anything we wanted to use. The AC units worked inconsistently and the outside grill was extremely dirty, old, & rusted. The wood border of the outside patio was in need of repair & was a trip hazard. The provided laundry facility was accessible from a separate outside entrance only. And the washing machine was hooked up in reverse: cold & hot water backwards. When this was reported to the property contact, their only response was "Interesting." The private beach was not always there. High tide came right up to the bottom of the steep metal staircase for several hours each day. While it was nice to have an ocean view, the property was overpriced for its quality.

Amazing location!

The location of this house is absolutely amazing. You are definitely paying for the location. The house is a simple beach house but the view is unbeatable. We were there during the 4th of July and you could see mayflower beach (a short walk away) completely packed. It was so nice to have our own private beach. The sunsets were beautiful.

46 stairs seperate you from HEAVEN! Highly recomend this locations for anyone looing for a Cape house on the beach.

Great location; lots of new things

We have stayed here 3-4 years in a row and just love the place. The owner has made many improvements from year to year and this year was particularly amazing. The house is clean, well stocked, and you cannot beat the location and ease of getting to the beach. Such a beautiful view too. Also there is great support from the managing agent.

Hey Lynne hope all is well Reaching out for summer of 2026 hoping perhaps we can see you again? We just put "real AC into the cottage this spring, and the main house as long as the windows and doors are shut remains cool in the heat wave currently in place in Mass. Insulated more in main house, and have the AC system in main house serviced and insulated the lines from outdoor unit to indoor units to enhance cooling. Will be doing some other items over the coming winter as we have rented every week for this season!

Great location

Great locatoin, easy check in. Mostly as advertised. Only surprise is the main house has super low ceilings. Cottage had not been used in a while, lots of cobwebs. Overall, good stay.

Elevated Stay

As advertised, the property is amazing with great views of the ocean. At high tide the stairs go right into the ocean, which was like a swimming pool most days. Low tide opens up for miles of walking on pristine beach. Separate cottage was perfect for our adult daughter with her husband and toddler. Fantastic all around. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing sunsets!

The property was perfect for our needs. The extra cottage sleeping area worked so well for us. The house and kitchen were well equipped. Very comfortable. Both the owners and property manager were great to deal with, and took care of everything. Can't say enough about the beautiful sunsets and beach right down the steps from the house. Wonderful to fall asleep listening to the ocean. Very safe area. Our 8 year old grandson was busy the entire time either playing in the sand off the patio or on the beach looking for shells and treasures! I'd recommend this property for any beach lovers! Brenda

Amazing location, awesome house

The private beach was incredible. Our dogs could hang out with us all day for the first time in decades of going to the Cape. Seeing the overcrowded public beach 1/4 mile away made us appreciate it even more! The house was very nice. We enjoyed the new bathrooms and kitchen, the mini split ACs allowing temp control in every room. The kitchen is small (which is fine with us on vacation) but well stocked. There were a lot of conveniences included in this rental - USB ports on night stands, empty space in the kitchen cabinets for our food, games and puzzles, candles, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, laundry detergent and toilet paper. The only minor thing not included was linens. Would defintely stay again!

All about the beach!

You are definitely paying for the beautiful beach and sunsets right in the backyard. The house was perfect in all it's amenities (beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, cooking ware and basics), cleanliness, and all the beds were comfortable. We rented linens to help with our travels. Although you are not getting luxury for the price tag, you are getting a beach basically all to yourself as you look down towards the public beach and see hundreds of umbrellas on top of each other. The house is in a great neighborhood, offering enjoyable walks and some nice house-gawking. We arrived on a stormy day at high tide and the last set of metal stairs going down to the water looked very intimidating, if not unsafe. Once the water calmed down the next day, it definitely was safe and the kids and 70 y.o. grandparents had no issues going up and down to the beach. At high tide, there is no sand to lounge on, but the water is shallow at the steps and the kids still were easily able to enjoy the water at high tide. We would definitely stay here again with hopefully better weather, but of course no guarantee of that in New England!

Great location. Property is a little rundown. Landscaping is awful. Grass hasn’t been cut in weeks. Bushes need trimming, making it difficult to back out of the driveway. Stairs down to the beach are a killer, long and steep.

My family had an amazing 2 weeks! The house was beautiful and so clean!!! Air conditioning worked perfectly, beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen had everything that we needed. Great location and private beach

We love the Mayflower Beach area with the low tide going out so that you can take long walks on the beach. With this house, you had to vacate the beach at high tide, but that gave us a much needed break and we came back later in the day at low tide again. You just had to plan ahead for maximum beach time. It was definitely nice to walk down some stairs to a very nice beach with no crowds! We could see Bayview and the large crowd just down the way and we were so glad not to be in that crowd. The house is well kept, clean, and has TVs in every room for our varied program watching in our family. The cottage is nice and we put our family with small children there. The only reason for the overall 4 stars was we were there during a hot week and the window AC situation was challenging to keep the main living space comfortable. During the nights there were a couple where we could open the windows but there were a few where we struggled to keep cool. So your experience will depend on weather the temps outside stay hot and humid at night.

Awesome Week at the Beach!

We had a wonderful week at the beach! Staying right on the beach was amazing. You walk down a set of stairs and you are on a private beach! No fighting crowds, etc. We checked out tide pools in low tide (including a night time walk where many crabs were caught) and jumped in 2-3 feet at high tide. The bay is warm and we swam for long periods without feeling cold (very unusual for New England beaches). The bay is very calm, so not great for boogie boards but lovely for floats and skim boards. At night we had spectacular sunsets! We cooked out on the grill and ate on the patio. The little cabin was extremely cute. I highly recommend this for families as you can easily take breaks from the beach when needed. The inside is not fancy but its great for a beach week. We had one rainy day and went to Provincetown (missed the rain) in the morning. We had another rainy morning and went to Chatham (missed the rain) and saw the lighthouse but also be sure to go to the Fisherman's market to check out the seals! We were back in time to spend the afternoon on the beach. We road bikes around the neighborhood and on the Cape Cod rail trail. We went to the Sundae School in Dennis for ice cream (it just won a best ice cream award)! We had a super fun week and left with many great memories!

Beachfront Retreat

Just steps from your own private beach. Guest house gave the family the ability to have additional privacy. House was well equipped and comfortable. House is a bit rustic, but gave that cottage feeling of no fuss. It was a welcome retreat from the city.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time. The location was truly spectacular. Was a little disappointed that there is absolutely no beach at high tide which did impact our time and main reason for a cape vacation was to sit on the beach! We made the best of it for sure! Home is very old and needs a lot of cosmetic work as long as you’re ok with that then this place is wonderful.

Great location

So happy I found this gem! My family and I enjoyed every minute. It was stocked with everything we needed which made things so much easier! Both places were clean and had the beach feel. This house has been our family summer home since the 1940's when my parents built parts of this property. Over the past 20 years, we have updated almost every part of the house and think that between the amenities and the location, it is unique and special. Mayflower Beach is about 3/4 mile west, and Corporation beach is about 1 mile east. You can walk for about 3 miles un-interrupted if you choose. Ours is a private beach, and one of the few single family homes for rent in Dennis on a real PRIVATE beach. GOOGLEMAP 116 SHORE DRIVE DENNIS 02638

Location Location and Location! This location is just awesome! My parents chose this location in the Mid 1940's and I summered here all my life as have my children and my grandchildren. The majority of homes on the Bay are new mansions but we love our beach house which is filled with wodnerful memories.

What makes this property unique

You can count on your hands the number of single family homes along the part of the beach that is truly a PRIVATE beach. The views, the beach, and the amenities we have added make this property extreemly unique. Many of our guests come every year and we encouarge returnign guests to consider this "their beach house".
