Happiness in Port Townsend
The Saxeson House is an 1890 treasure and working with Ron is a delight. It’s in a wonderful neighborhood on the hill above downtown Port Townsend a pleasant walk away. This was our refuge from work on our sailboat at the end of each day. We made great meals with terrific ingredients from the local coop and Aldrich’s. Walks at sunset around the neighborhood included the company of very tame deer and being springtime we were treated to the the sights of frolicking fawns. They are just the sweetest creatures. This is our favorite place in Port Townsend now. Thank you so much Ron and Judy.

Why they chose this property

Our family has had many years of enjoyable experience renting this house to guests from around the world.. Judy grew up on a dairy farm south of here in Chimacum. Her great grandfather homesteaded there and was a County Commissioner when the court house was built in 1892 about the same time as the Saxeson House.

What makes this property unique

The Arts and Crafts Continuum is an idea, a work of art being created cooperatively, collaboratively through the efforts of users to guarantee resources for affordable rental housing and farmland in perpetuity. Currently we are renting and organizing five properties in Washington State using this philosophy.

You may have noticed that this listing is one of the most affordable here. Our intention is that it will become even more so in the future as part of the Arts and Crafts Continuum. With a focus on making participatory, collaborative, renting rewarding, respectable and desirable, using debt free land and resources, We are confident that this design implementation stage is one with exciting progress and we hope you will contact us for more information.
