We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood is quiet, yet there are great bars and restaurants in a short walking distance. The ferry is also nearby so you can easily take a quick ride to the French Quarter. The house has character and has been beautifully updated. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings the most. Great communication from the host.
Worked very well for my family. 3 bedrooms on main level and 2 upstairs. The stairs to 2nd level are kind of steep. Both bathrooms are nicely appointed and on first level. One is ensuite with the main bedroom. TV's in every bedroom. The host was helpful throughout every part of the process.
Let me start with one of my bigger concerns….parking. There were 3 vehicles and since there was no driveway and only street parking, I was concerned that there would not be enough room for all three of our vehicles. Let me assure you there was plenty of room. We had one car parked in front of the house, and the other two cars were parked across the street in view. Next was the front porch. There are two rocking chairs on the front porch, and we used them quite a bit. I enjoyed sitting out there and watching everyone go by, and talking to the neighbors, who were very nice.Next, you walk into the house to a very large living area and you could see the dining room and the dining room was very large. The kitchen had four barstools around the kitchen island, which was very nice for my large group. The kitchen was well stocked, had just about everything you would like to have to prepare a meal. Although we didn’t prepare any meals other than breakfast, we had plenty of pots and pans do it with.Next were the bedrooms. We had three large bedrooms on the first floor, and we also had the two bedrooms upstairs. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The two bathrooms, one in the master bedroom and the the second also downstairs were stocked with plenty of toilet paper and towels for showering. There were also more in the cabinets if they were needed. Washer and dryer was very convenient Would definitely stay again!!
The property was simply beautiful. The only problem we had was the rug in the dining room. It needed some repairing all to be taped down again, and we didn’t realize that it was two bedrooms upstairs. We thought all the bedrooms were downstairs, but other than that it was simply beautiful.
