About this property

Life is good on the farm

This is the perfect place to come get a fresh perspective and some fresh air in the mountains, on the ranch. Close to some of the most popular hikes and National Parks, it’s a great place to escape to. The night sky is gorgeous. The stars and the Milky Way are visible and spilling across the sky. We have an outdoor fire pit where you can sit and melt into the night after a day of hiking. Or, On cold nights, hanging out by the fireplace in your Airbnb space, with a cup of hot coco.
The space
This is a whole, all inclusive space to yourself in my daylight basement apartment. There are games, books, a TV, kitchen and fireplace. Cleaned and disinfected after every guest.
Guest access
We are on five acres and you are more than welcome to meander everywhere. There are benches throughout and a tire swing. You are also welcome to say hi to the chickens and the horses, the goose and her entourage of ducks. They will all treat you like a rockstar if you bring them food. The wire around the horse pen is hot. So step inside, with the horses to say hi to them. They love carrots and apples. Only 1or 2 each though please.
Other things to note
We do have a washer and dryer on the premises. But they are not in the guest space. If you need a load or two done, I am more than happy to oblige.
We are on a septic system and anything besides toilet paper thrown down the toilet, Is bad, so please refrain from throwing in feminine hygiene products, cotton balls or paper towels down the toilet.
Decorative pillows are just for decoration. I only wash them once a season, so use the other pillows for sleeping.
It is helpful but in no way expected if you’d like to strip your beds at the end of your stay. I hope you have so much fun staying with us!

Friendly and comfortable, like staying with family
We truly enjoyed our stay here at the farm with Rhonda! She treated us like family from arrival through to departure. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen equipped with what we needed, the living space was good and the bathrooms clean. Our 5 year old LOVED being allowed to help feed and handle the animals, it was the highlight of his stay. One thing to note, the laundry facilities are upstairs in the main house not in the downstairs unit but Rhonda was happy to make arrangements to use them. Would love to be able to come back to this area and explore the canyons (Kolob is only minutes away) more and spend time with the goats, chickens and horses!!

Amazing Vacation!
Rhonda was a wonderful host! She took the time to share her farm animals with our five year old son and he was thrilled! He got to hold a hen and a newborn baby goat as well! He collected eggs from the hen house and fed apples to the horses! So awesome! He loved every minute and we did too! The house was so clean and so incredibly comfortable and spacious. Rhonda even gave us fresh eggs and home made muffins. There was also coffee, fruit, oatmeal, Mac n cheese and more. Rhonda also gave us tips on absolutely incredible hikes that were easy for our son and let us enjoy the gorgeous scenery at Zion. A truly memorable family trip. Our son said it was the best trip we’ve ever been on! Thank you Rhonda!

Wonderful, relaxing experience
Rhonda is an amazing hostess! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She allowed my horse-loving sister to ride one and provided fresh eggs for us. The home was very clean and was very well-stocked. If we ever come back this way, we would definitely stay with her again!

Wonderful stay!
I can’t even say enough good things about this stay. The hostess communicated incredibly well, provided recommendations, and provided an amazing stay. The property is lovely, well equipped, the beds were AMAZING and the kitchen well stocked. It’s very spacious but cozy. The property is lovely with horses and chickens and a very entertaining goose. The details are incredibly charming (book shelves and fun decorations). We had an incredibly embarrassing snafu with the nights I booked and the hostess truly saved our vacation with grace. It’s not super close to grocery or restaurants, etc but our hostess told us that in advance so we were prepared. It was completely worth it to be away from hustle and bustle but also 3 minutes from the Kolob Canyons entrance. Highly recommend this property. You won’t find a nicer person than Rhonda. She shares her home as if you were family.

Hey ya'll! We've been doing this nightly rental for 5 years now and had such a blast doing it. We Love people! Travel a lot and love to experience life everywhere. As I write this, we have 5 horses, 30 chickens, a goose, 4 ducks, 3 cats and a very friendly dog. Life is never dull here. We would Love to share the magic of this place with you.

Why they chose this property

So this property is just a hop away from some of the most beautiful scenic views and hikes ever! Kolob. Canyon is a little known part of Zion and well worth a visit. While you might meet 2000 people on every hike in the main part of Zion, you might see about 20 or less on any of the Kolob hikes and you don't need to catch a shuttle. we are 10 minutes away from Kannaraville Falls hike, which is another awesome adventure. Spring Creek is also very close. Just to give you an idea.

What makes this property unique

There is little to no light pollution here so you can see the stars like they were meant to be seen. The milky way cuts a clear path across the sky and falling stars are a frequent occurrence. Come make a wish, sit on a horse and feed some friendly chickens. Life is good on the farm.
