The space
This updated 1600 sq ft two-story house is extremely private and is ONLY 1 mile from Catamount Recreation Area, which provides access to many free hiking trails with breathtaking mountain views and access to Catamount Reservoir, where you can kayak, canoe, and paddleboard.

There is a electric range and oven, a microwave, toaster, blender, mixer, dishwasher, and refrigerator. There is even an instant pot and air fryer! There is a gas grill with tools on the deck. There are pots, pans, skillets, bakeware, and other utensils.
There is a dining table and chairs, and an eat-in-bar with stools. There are plates, bowls, serving dishes, silverware, coffee mugs, wine glasses, and water glasses.
A dual Keurig and drip-coffee maker with coffee is provided.
LIVING AREA
The south-facing living area enjoys close-range Pikes Peak mountain views and gets plenty of natural light. There is one leather couch, one fabric couch, two velvet chairs, a 65-inch TV equipped with ROKU, and a basket with extra throw blankets. The fireplace is inoperable at this time.
The large front deck through the slider has a 6-person hot tub, a outdoor dining area, and outdoor furniture with a gas firepit. There is also a propane grill.

There are also a variety of DVDs provided, children's books, and board games in the closet's dresser.
BATHROOMS
There are two bathrooms; one is off the master and features a brand new, beautifully tiled shower. The second bathroom on the main level offers a deep tub and shower. Both bathrooms are equipped with fresh towels, washcloths, and hairdryers.

Guest access
You will have exclusive access to the entire house to include the 3-acre yard and hot tub. You will also have access to the wood shed directly East of the property, where the garbage bin is stored. You will not have access to a locked crawlspace door in the basement or the metal shed far West of the house. There is also an old horse stable on the property.
Other things to note
PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING!
-DRIVING: The last mile drive to the house is on a windy, dirt road that may be steep and bumpy in some places. Please ensure you are comfortable with driving in mountainous terrain prior to booking this place.
-WINTER: Your vehicle should have 4WD/AWD if you are traveling to the cabin between November-May. The area roads are routinely plowed by the county and snow will be cleared around the area once snowfall has ceased, though we are unable to guarantee specific timeframes. Please use caution and make wise travel decisions. There may also be an abundance of snow around the property. We are not nearby to assist you if you are stuck in the snow. No alterations will be made to the cancelation policy due to the weather.
-NOISE CONTROL: Please note that this is a *quiet* neighborhood and no parties or disruptive activities are permitted at the cabin. Although this cabin is in a rural location, it is still located in a neighborhood and we have neighbors surrounding the property.
-SECURITY CAMERAS: There are 2 security cameras- one the exterior front of the house and one above the side door entrance. These cameras are on at all times and record video for your safety. There are NO cameras at the back of the house, near the hot tub, or inside the home.
-WELL WATER: The house is on an older well water system; thus, we ask that guests space out showers and to not use both showers simultaneously. Otherwise, this could cause the water to shut off.
-INTERNET: We have the fastest internet possible but it still can be slow, depending on the time of day. You should still be able to get any remote work done, particularly during the day. Keep in mind that you may not be able to stream on both TVs at the same time, which is why we have provided a DVD player and DVDs for when both TVs are utilized at the same time.
-CELL PHONE COVERAGE: Cell phone service can be spotty depending on your location and service. Consider using this time to unplug! =)
-ALTITUDE: The house is located at a high altitude of 9,600 feet and altitude sickness may occur. Please take the necessary precautions and preparations to help you live at this elevation.
-WILDFIRES: Absolutely NO campfires. We take fire safety very seriously and you will be asked to leave if there is any unsafe or illegal fire activity. There is a gas firepit outside for your use.
-WILDLIFE: There is lots of wildlife in the area! Please do not leave any food or trash outside since bears and other animals frequent the area. Please also lock your car doors (Bears can open them!)
-CHECK-IN: You may want to consider arriving for check-in during daylight. At night, the roads are dark in the neighborhood and the house may be hard to find.
