Five O'clock Somewhere - Pacific Grove House - The Ultimate Vacation Destination

This downtown Victorian—which once housed a clock repair shop—might be the perfect vacation destination. From here you can stroll to shops and restaurants… or head to the beach, just a few blocks away. On the first floor you’ll find the living room (with a large TV and an electric fireplace), dining room (seating for 8), modern kitchen (with barbecue out the back door), laundry, a guestroom with a Queen bed, and a full bath with a tub/shower. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (two Kings and two Twins) and a second full bath with a shower. This historic home is completely renovated and newly-furnished... the crystal chandeliers, stained glass, vintage-inspired art, and grandfather clock are a nod to a time gone by.  Take in a movie at the local cinema, browse the bookstore, or walk to the ice cream shop for an after-dinner treat. From the annual Butterfly Parade to the apple trees around Caledonia Park, there’s a reason Pacific Grove is called “America’s last hometown.”  Pacific Grove Transient Use License #482

Great property! Walking distance to coffee shops, vintage stores and really good restaurants. Lovers point is about 10 minutes walking distance and we could see otters hanging out in the cove. The house itself was sparking clean and very well appointed. We would rebook without looking elsewhere.

The location of this property is amazing for exploring Pacific Grove and the beach. The house furnishings could be improved to make it cozier. Overall a good weekend stay for us (2 families with kids), and we would stay again.

Our stay in Pacific Grove was wonderful. The town is very cute. Lots to do very nice people. We enjoyed the beach area. Great little coffee shop.The house was in the perfect location. It had a lot of character very nicely, decorated. Well stocked with everything.We would definitely come back again. Shane was great. He helped us with our questions. We will miss 5 o’clock somewhere.

This is a beautiful property which worked very well for our group. It's in a great location, near restaurants and shops and Lover's Point. Everything worked well and the property is very comfortable. Communication was seamless and we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our visit to the property. Within walking distance of many local restaurants and oceans views, including bike trail etc. Be sure to note that this property DOES NOT have air conditioning. Not usually an issue but we arrived on a very warm day and sleeping that night was uncomfortable. It would be very helpful to install ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The home is beautiful and historic so with that comes low water pressure in both bathroom showers. There were a few windows that didn't open and a few that opened but didn't stay open. It would also be helpful to include instructions for operating the microwave which is a part of the oven. Street parking wasn't an issue and conveniently located on 14th Street. Please note the steps coming into the home and the stairs to reach the 3 bedrooms located upstairs. If you aren't able to walk numerous steps and carry luggage, this isn't the property for you. Management response to questions was excellent and the property was VERY clean.

Great getaway/stay

Great location, by all the shops and a couple blocks from the beach. Interior of house was well decorated, beds were comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay. Great for a big group.

Pros: great space for the whole family to relax and wind down after a day of exploring, plenty of room for making meals in the kitchen, clean all around, including bathrooms, and it was very quick and easy to get in touch with property management for help with issues!Cons: parking, whoa. Spaces available but may need to move around a bit, especially before nighttime. It’s definitely doable, and we always found a spot within a block, but good to be aware of.

Great home...will stay again!

This house is wonderful! It's very clean and nicely updated. The layout is comfortable for hanging out with a group and the location cannot be beat. So wonderful to walk out the front door and be able to enjoy quaint Pacific Grove within walking distance. We will definitely plan on staying again!

Great location

This was a great location with easy access to restaurants and the beach. House was very clean and the beds were comfy. No real outdoor space on the property to hang out, but the walk to the beach was easy and plenty of outside space there! Would recommend!

Cozy home base in PG

We had a wonderful stay at 5 o’clock somewhere. The house is very centrally located in Pacific Grove, and easily walkable to the coastal trail, restaurants, and the aquarium is about a 20 minute walk. The house was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We slept so well! It was the perfect homebase for our family to explore the beautiful Monterey Peninsula.
