About this property

Rainforest Glass Cabin, El Congo, La Fortuna

Relax and enjoy the serenity of the rainforest with nature, friends, and family in our beautiful mountain cabins. Bonus, we have our own hiking trail in the rainforest leading to a natural springs swim hole.

Nestled in the rainforest on a mountain surrounded by lush gardens.
Our cabins bring the outdoors in with glass windows all around. Our cabins are spacious and designed to make you feel right at home. There are two bedrooms in the top level with a bathroom and a one bedroom suite in the lower level with its own kitchenette and bathroom. There's also another full bathroom in the outside pavilion.

You will have access to 3 acres of property including grounds, gardens, the rainforest and more than 1 kilometer of hiking trail leading to a natural water springs pool and a garden jacuzzi where you can relax and take it all in.

Our property is walking distance from El Nido del Arenal Restaurant and viewpoints, where you can admire the Arenal Volcano and take breathtaking pictures. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner & a bar.

Cabañas Caeli is in an unspoiled rainforest area where you can hike, bike, and experience other adventure tours. A place to truly appreciate Costa Rica's flora and fauna.

You will be entertained with the congo/white faced monkeys and sloths in their natural habitat in addition to the parrots, toucans and other birds and butterflies in the area. We provide binoculars for you to easily spot our friends in nature and enjoy their presence.

We love to give our guests their space, but we can be reached at any time. I can be reached by phone, text, or email.

We're located just 15-20 minutes from La Fortuna center.

Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by the rainforest and the amazing sounds of nature, we're on top of the Santa Gertrudis mountain. Only 25 meters from El Nido del Arenal.

We're on mountainous terrain, a high vehicle, or 4x4 is required. Free parking is available on our property. You can easily catch a local cab or an Uber up to Cabañas Caeli or down to La Fortuna or wherever you're going. If you're driving, it is conveniently located and very close to everything.

This property is adjacent to the rainforest and a biological corridor. A true Costa Rican experience.
Only the number of guests on the reservation are allowed at the cabin. Fees for additional, unaccounted guest will be incurred. Fees are 15,000 colones or $25 per person.

Absolutely no smoking inside the cabin or balconies. If you smoke outside, please do not leave cigarette butts on the floor. Throw them in the trash can by the parking lot.

Please do not use white towels for cleaning the floors or for removing make-up. Over soiled towels and linens will incur a replacement fee. Fines for non-removable stains are as follows: bed covers $30, flat sheets $15, pillow cases $5, bath towels $5, face towels $3

Please do not hang clothes out to dry on the balcony rails.

Binoculars are provided by host for your use in the cabin so you can spot our friends in nature. Please keep them in the cabin. Binocular replacement fee $50

Beautiful spot and a gracious, accommodating host
Pablo was a very gracious and helpful host, which made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The spot is beautiful, with amazing views and plenty of wildlife. The kids all loved the swimming hole and hot tub, and it was fun to cook on an open fire. The cabin was comfortable for two families (total of 9 people), and was well equipped.

Incredible
This place is just incredible. Clean, beautiful, and Pablo is so nice! My kids loved the hot tub (it’s not too hot) and laying in the hammock. Will be back soon!

Great Time at El Congo
Our family of four had a great time at El Congo. The cabin was clean and well-stocked, and the landscaping was beautiful. We enjoyed the onsite trail, the swimming hole, the hot tub, and hammock. The sights and sounds were peaceful. The soda a short walk away served wonderful local cuisine. The road in is long and very rough, but the drive was well worth it. We recommend waterfall rappelling through Pure Trek, which takes place less than a mile from El Congo. Pablo was a gracious host - we plan to come back.

Rough road into this zen paradise. What a beautiful place. Every detail has been well thought out. Our grandkids wanted to move in. Landscape was exquisite and the hiking trail a wonderful adventure. Highly recommend this stay. Thanks. The Rice Family.
