Perfect stay for family with tween and teens!

Our family of 6 (four kids 8y-16y) had an amazing time at this super clean and fun-filled cabin. Amazing views and so much to do! The photos are truly accurate. So many games to play together, yet also enough space for us to have time apart. Kids loved the downstairs game area while the parents enjoyed the scenic quiet views on the deck and living room. So peaceful and serene. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were also spacious. A wonderful cabin that we definitely will be returning to!

Awesome Place!

This place was awesome for the family. The pictures don’t show how amazing the area is. The house was comfortable for everyone, and having everything you need there was great. Being able to sled down the driveway and play in the snow all day was great for the whole family. I would definitely recommend this place. We are wanting to plan a summer vacation back here as soon as we can.

Grand Lake Trip

Wonderful trip. The home was beautiful and the location was even better. If you want to see wildlife and gorgeous views this is the perfect place. The cleaner did get the times mixed up for our arrival and thought it was a late check out instead of early check in. She was very nice and understanding and cleaned the home very quickly for us.

Iowa family

Our family of seven thoroughly enjoyed this gem over looking Shadow Lake in the early morning through the evening hours. The cabin was very accountable to our needs where we could make breakfast or enjoy the outdoor grill and outdoor seating for evening meals. The children loved the bag game, volleyball and indoor games but the hot tub was the most relaxing after our hiking experiences. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations.

Serenity in the woods

The cabin is located on 7 acres that in the snow looks like a winter wonderland. The views are amazing. The cabin itself is beautiful. It is extremely conducive to families. They have an extensive amount of cards and board games. They also have a ping pong and shuffleboard tables downstairs. The kids had a blast sledding down the super long driveway. The owner was responsive and pleasant. I highly recommend this rental.

Great Mountain Home

The home is right off the road yet feels miles from civilization! Gorgeous setting with beautiful views in a home with an authentic log mountain home feel. Tons of space, but would not recommend for more than 8 adults. The last 2 beds are a bunk bed with mattresses that would be fine for kids. The bunk is in a space without a door, just off the large bedroom. The bedrooms are very cozy with comfortable beds and bedding. You must be a good winter mountain driver to get up the driveway.

Best place ever!!!

I cannot begin to express how awesome our stay was. We didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to go back. The driveway is perfect for sledding. The kids had a blast playing on the playground in the snow. The views are to die for. Multiple moose sightings. A mom and her calf visited us. It was amazing and breathtaking. Two weeks just want long enough. The house was super clean, the beds were comfy and there was so many puzzles and games for us all to play. Maureen was very nice and accommodating. We truly felt at home. Thank you for letting us rent your cabin!

Secluded Nice Home

Owners have carefully detailed use of the home with lists and labels showing much experience renting it. Greatfully the home is in better condition than most others VRBO's we've visited. As noted, in winter, the driveway absolutely requires AWD, if icy you'll need chains! The outdoor fireplace was surrounded by 6' of snow-you would have to dig a trail and no wood visible. Hot tub is under the house and smelled of chlorine-maybe a good thing-it's totally locked up so we did not use it. Downstairs is somewhat unfinished w/concrete floors and after 2 hrs of heat (just a turn switch on wall) was too cold to use. Main level is nice w/a large deck but could be crampted (in winter when deck is heaped with snow) for a large group. The direct east exposure allows sun through large upper windows that warmed the living area to 85 degrees, 35 outside, requiring opening doors to cool room. Although there is a small fan at the upper roof w/no A/C what about dead of summer? Upstairs has a small seating area and beds for 6 persons all in one room but only 1 bath and is even warmer. The kitchen has better than average appliances, knives, etc...granite counters and large fridge. Narrow lot w/7 acres mostly below and above the home but still private w/nice views. You can hear cars on the main road but at least they are out out view. The reviews showed numerous wildlife-we saw few tracks and no animals-guessing summer would be better. With only 2 baths the home is ok for maybe 6 guests. Decided to get "Karma Points" and take the trash to town-The map is very misleading and we spent 30 minutes trying to find the dumpster, it's also the opposite way back to Denver. The Cleaning Fee is huge and should include taking the trash away. Bottom line: everything works, even Dish and Wi-Fi, you won't have to bother anyone so you can relax. Leave the trash!

Our 10 day stay in September was great. This well appointed cabin on 7 acres allowed forpeace and quiet, and an amazing view of Shadow Mountain Lake and the mountains. We saw some elk and mule deer, and even a distant visit from a bear. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely hope to return.

We moved from Ohio to Littleton, Co 31 years ago & bought our 1st place in Grand Lake. We have 3 boys: all are in their 20's - 30's. When they were younger they loved to go to the cabin & catch frogs, butterflies, grasshoppers, play on the swingset, enjoy the wildflowers go fishing, sled down the driveway or just hang out on one of the big rocks for a picnic.

Why they chose this property

We love the quiet town of Grand Lake we enjoy boating on the 3 large lakes & hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We often have picnics by one of the lakes & our boys love to just hang outside & see the wildlife.

What makes this property unique
