Summer at the Lake

(April–November, weather permitting)

In warmer months, the cabin truly comes alive. Step onto your private dock and enjoy lake days filled with kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. We provide a canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards for guest use (seasonal and weather-dependent). Spend long days on the water or simply relax lakeside while taking in uninterrupted mountain and lake views.

Winter: Quiet, Cozy, and Beautiful

Winter at the cabin is peaceful and scenic. Soft white fairy and café lights create a warm, welcoming retreat after a day outdoors. Enjoy ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, sledding, or snowball fights. Snowmobiles can be rented in town, with access into Rocky Mountain National Park. Or stay in—prepare a hearty meal in the upscale kitchen, play games, and watch shooting stars reflect over the frozen lake.

Over the years, we’ve always spent time hiking and snowshoeing in Grand Lake and so in February we decided to rent this lakefront property and what a wonderful decision that was! When you instantly step inside you feel like it’s a “home away from home”. The view from the back of the cabin is spectacular of the lake and mountain ranges and whether you’re out for adventure or just coming for rest and relaxation, this cabin will not disappoint. It was super clean and had all the amenities you needed with lots of personal touches making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We loved the beautiful outdoor lighting at night as well. The owners are great to work with plus the location is near Rocky Mountain National Park and one mile from the town of Grand Lake which makes it very convenient to do what you enjoy. We would highly recommend this property, and we hope to be back again in the future.

Great time at the lake!

Our family had a wonderful time at this lakefront property. It was very clean and organized and had everything we needed. Got out on the water with the included kayaks and enjoyed some hiking! We'd love to stay here again!

Cozy lake house

The lake house was perfect for our family of 6. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards provided, along with the fire pit. The house was very clean and comfortable and well equipped with the necessities (coffee, sugar, spices, paper products).

What a beautiful spot on the lake! We woke up to hummingbirds greeting us while we enjoyed our morning coffee and watched our kids enjoy a morning kayak. We were craving a true lakeside getaway since Colorado has so few waterside homes like this one. We snagged a booking last year and the house did not disappoint !! Highly recommend to anyone. Our family had a wonderful time with the yard, dock, boats and gorgeous view.

Beautiful Cabin on Grand Lake

We are Patty and Chris. Our lake cabin was established in 1977. In 2018 we completely renovated our cabin inside and in 2020 we replaced the original dock. We have poured our hearts and soul into our cabin and we love sharing it with good people.

You will be captivated with our Lake House and will want to return over and over again. Grand Lake and especially this cabin gets into your system and once there you can't help but want to return.

What makes this property unique

One of the only (if not the only) cabin on Grand Lake which is available to rent. Grand Lake is Colorado's largest natural lake and is a sight to behold. Summer or winter it offers everything you could ever want or dream of in a vacation.
