Makin’ Memories is the perfect beach house for you! Located at 337 East First Street, this second-row house has everything needed for the ultimate beach vacation on Ocean Isle Beach. Makin’ Memories can comfortably accommodate fourteen; whether with a multi-family group or a multi-generational family. It’s also great for fellowship, retreats and corporate events. The best rates are in the Spring and Fall. Long term rentals are welcome.
Makin’ Memories…is a beautifully re-decorated five-bedroom, five-bathroom beach house with an enclosed heated pool with a hot and cold-water shower adjacent to the pool, a gas grill, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a granite bar that seats six, a dining area with table that seats eight, a utility room with new washer and dryer and a great room’s all new furniture, a flat screen TV and spectacular ocean views. The 5G WIFI is quick and easy.
Makin’ Memories…has three bedrooms on the upper level. The primary suite has a king-sized bed, an additional bedroom has two queen sized beds and a cheerful bunk room that can accommodate four kids or teenagers in bunk beds as well as a chest full of games and puzzles. On the main level are two more bed rooms with queen sized beds. Each bedroom room has a private bath and flat screen TV.
Makin’ Memories…is a beach house with wonderful ocean views from the dining area and great room, the primary suite and the two ocean fronting decks. These ocean facing decks have very comfortable furniture for resting plus a table for eight to enjoy breakfast or lunch on the main deck and a cocktail table for four to enjoy drinks on the upper deck.
Makin’ Memories…is ideally situated for activities. Golf: some of the best courses in the country are within 10 minutes and 30 minutes south at Myrtle Beach are another 75 courses. Fishing: outstanding catches are to be caught off shore, in the Inter-Coastal Waterway and in the surf. Enjoy jogging, walking, biking and boating. The house is conveniently located between two public beach accesses to the replenished sand which is ideal for shelling, sunning, building sand castles, and playing bocce ball. Minutes away is an ice-cream parlor, putt-putt golf course, restaurants, specialty shops grocery stores...and there is a ChargePoint EV charging station five minutes away at 41 E. First Street. Plus, there are several urgent care options minutes away in case you have pulled, stretched, torn, sprained or stubbed something.
Makin’ Memories…is perfect for warm ocean breezes, spectacular sunrises and breath-taking sunsets with children, grandchildren, extended family or colleagues. Great memories are made each year at Makin’ Memories.

Perfect home for us, our children and our young grandkids. Very comfortable and spacious. Safe area. Close enough to the beach to walk with all our young ones. The beach access to the left had no stairs, so easier for strollers and wagons. The beach access to the right had stairs.

Our stay in OIB was the perfect week. Makin’ Memories allowed our crew to enjoy each day to the fullest. The space was clean, comfortable, and the best fit for our 12 person group. The owner was easily accessible before, during, and after the trip whenever we needed a question answered. We will definitely be making a return trip.

Makin' Memories was perfect for our family vacation! We were amazed at how stocked the kitchen was for cooking! Plenty of dishes and silverware for our large family too! Bedrooms were ALL spacious and the living room and kitchen had plenty of room for us all to hangout! We loved the easy and short walk to the beach! I also appreciated that the owner was quick to respond when I had questions during the booking process and even messaged to check on us while we were there! My family plans to book again!!

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay. It was conveniently located near beach accesses and the pool was a hit with my granddaughters. We look forward to a return trip next year with Makin Memories home.

Great stay

The house is in a great location. It was close to the beach and a short drive to restaurants and stores. The pool was heated and a big win with the kids. The kitchen had all the tools you could possibly need, and for once I didn’t have to take out or unpack my own kitchen tools. The house had plenty of room for our whole family, and we will certainly look to book this one again.

First let me just say this house was beautiful and very very clean! My friends and I booked this house for a long weekend and it was perfect. Super close to beach access and the pool was the perfect ending to each day. The pool lights weren’t working the first night but when I called and told the host he was extremely quick to respond, I’m talking the pool guy was there with in five minutes and the lights were back on shortly after. Also there was plenty of room for everyone, a lot of inside seating as well as outside too! I would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Loved our week at Makin Memories

We had a great week staying at Makin’ Memories. The house layout was perfect for our group of 10. Kids very much enjoyed the pool and the beach access was super convenient. Other large beach houses we have stayed in have had AC’s that struggled with the heat and humidity. Not here. House stayed perfectly cool all week. Would definitely book again.

Amazing!

Have stayed in this area multiple times, this property surpassed my expectations. The owner was responsive to all our needs and very helpful. Short walk to the beach, pool was perfect for cooling off. Will definitely recommend and stay here in the future!

September at Ocean Isle Beach

The beach house was clean, well-appointed with kitchenware and appliances, and well located within a short walk to the beach. Owners were attentive to our needs and communicated with us during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. House was renovated roughly 3 years ago so it didn't feel old or dingy like many of the other beach homes we have stayed at over the past few years. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises in the future.

Arrived to the house and got in easily. I had to wait for the family, but once they got there, the fun had begun. The pool was great, beach was awesome, weather super, food was good (it was my cheat week), and my family had a great time as well.

Wonderful weekend

Overall this was a wonderful stay and I’d stay here again. Great beach views! Loved the fact that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The only downside is they don’t provide linens unless you order them and there was no toilet paper or hand soap on arrival. Make sure you grab those things on your way in.

Memorial Day Weekend

This was a great property! Comfortably slept 6 adults and 8 children (between 6 months and 13 years). Very clean. Very close to beach access. Pool was a big hit with all the kids. Great room comfortably accommodated all of us for games and TV. Kitchen had everything we needed for meals at home. Hoping to come back next year!

Great friends trip staying at Makin’ Memories!

We were 3 families with young kids and throughly enjoyed staying at Makin’ Memories! The home was very clean, kitchen stocked with all the essentials, comfortable beds, and nice ocean views from the second row. The pool area and under home space was well kept and comfortable with additional space to gather. The home is almost midpoint between two beach accesses but still a short walk. The communication with the home owner was excellent! Overall a great stay and would stay here again!

Awesome Views

Although it rained for our stay it helped to have such a spacious house to be in..The views of the ocean are beautiful from the upper level. Plenty of beds and baths.We had to bring our linens but that was no problem. The grandkids enjoyed the pool in between the rain and the outdoor furniture was useful so we could sit outside and enjoy the beach air. I would definitely stay here again just hope we have sunnier days!

Relaxing house at a beautiful beach!

This house is spacious and comfortable. It is very well located in the second row from the beach, close to two beach access points. There's a pool in the back, and a nice grill so you can barbecue. One of my favorite things about the house is that there are two porches across the front. The one off the main living space has a big table that seats 8. We ate all our meals out there. The upstairs porch has a smaller table and chairs and is a nice place to sit outside at night and listen to the ocean. The only negative point is one the host made clear in advance - linens are not provided. No sheets or pillowcases, no towels, no beach towels. There are no hand towels or hand soap in the bathrooms. I understand this is a new trend in beach rentals, but I don't like it. We packed up all the linens and towels we needed, and with everything else we had to bring, our car was literally packed to the ceiling. Then when we got to the house, we had to go out and buy hand and dish soap. But we enjoyed this wonderful house just the same.

Great Family Vacation Spot

The property was as described. The owner was outstanding with communication. Although it was late November, and very cold, the little ones enjoyed the heated pool. The appliances all worked well and the area is quiet. We were all happy with our time there.

Great View from the upper deck at Sunrise

Beware of extra fees. 1. After selecting this property on line I was prompted to pay for renters insurance, (non refundable $) or a deposit that equaled the weeks rental fee & would be refunded at a later date if determined a refund was due. 2. The week prior to arriving was notified that if we wanted the pool heated there would be an additional $/ day cost that equaled can be nights stay. When asked if we could pay the fee for 4 days not 7 (grandchildren-weren’t going for the full 7 days) response was “ All or nothing “. So we payed the fee as pool is located in the back & in the shade all day. 3.We arrived on theI Island a couple hours early so I contacted the owner to inquire about checking in early. He stated he’d make sure the house was cleaned & text me. He texted a few minutes later to say it was good to go but it would be an additional fee / hour to check in at 2 not 4. Approximately equal to a half day rate. 4. There is a cleaning fee that is approximately half the daily rate. The shower curtains had black mold at the bottom, the cleanliness of couches in the main room we’re very worn & dirty. My grandson pushed a matchbox car under the couch so we had to move the couch to find it and it was obvious it had not been cleaned or swept in a long time it was disgusting what was underneath the couch.

Great for kids!

We had an amazing family vacation at this house with 5 kids ranging from 9mo to 13yo and 6 adults. Amazing views considering its second row. The heated pool was fantastic, and our favorite part about the house. The house has great space for 3 young families to enjoy. Be aware that there is only one bathtub (for little ones), and the beach access is about 5 house to the left and right which isn’t ideal for young families carrying around beach gear. Would recommend this house to anyone!
