Sunset Getaway with Private Beach

Welcome to the Sunset Getaway on Mallett's Bay! This captivating lakefront home offers spectacular views of majestic mountains and alluring lake that will rejuvenate your soul.

The home is a two level ranch style home with the main level consisting of a newly renovated kitchen, living and dining area, the master suite and a balcony looking over the beautiful Lake Champlain. The downstairs offers two bedrooms, a full bath, laundry and a theater room!

As our guest, you will have access to the entire home during your stay, private parking for 3-4 vehicles, access to private beach and most important - breathtaking views!

Property is located 15 minutes from downtown Burlington, one hour from Stowe, and less than 2 hours from Montreal. The Burlington Causeway (bike path) are only a few miles away.


HOUSE RULES AND HELPFUL TIPS:
REPECT & CARE: Please respect and care for our home as you would your own. We have spent a lot of time to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. PLEASE no smoking inside unit.

QUIET HOURS: 11:00 pm – 8:00 am
Loud Music is not permitted at any time. Please be considerate of the neighbors and your surroundings.

BEACH USE: Use at your own risk. Please note that stairs to access the beach are across the street from the property. This property does NOT sit directly on the beach. You must cross the street to access the stairs to go down to the beach. Please use the area directly in front your unit. Please put away anything you bring to the beach. All trash must be removed. Water shoes are strongly recommended. Please no fires if wind is blowing in land towards the house.
**ANY DOCKS IN THE WATER ARE PRIVATE AND OFF LIMIT TO GUESTS!

ABSOLUTLEY NO USE OF:
Hair Dye, Confetti, Glitter, Tape on walls. There will be a $200 charge if used.

PLUGGING THINGS IN:
Please do not unplug anything. We have provided plenty of extra outlets.

ISSUES/CONCERNS: If there are any issues or concerns upon your arrival or during your stay, please contact us right away. If there is any reason you would not leave a 5 Star review, please let us know before posting the review so that we can make it right during your stay. There is nothing we can do for you after you depart. We are a small business not a huge corporation and we want you to have an EXCELLENT experience!


We are a pet friendly property, however you MUST pre-register your pet for approval before booking.

Our requirements are as follows:
- Pet addendum must be acknowledged before check-in.
- Additional fee will be required (per pet).
- Pets are not allowed on the furniture.
- Dogs must be social toward strangers - both human and canine.
- Dogs must be on leash anytime outside on the property, including the beach.
- Dogs should not be tied up outside and left unattended at any point.
- Tick/Flea preventatives recommended.

For our doggie guests we offer water and food bowls, however I would consider bringing your own equipment in regard to a crate/bed, food, leashes and poop bags. We LOVE to welcome responsible owners, but please show good judgment in leaving your pet alone in a strange place for minimal amounts of time.

Please note that the yard is not fenced in. Please make sure you dispose of the pet waste with a doggie bag and place it in the bin provided.

Lakeside Retreat
My family had a wonderful stay in Colchester. We loved the house, the view of the lake was incredible. My kids loved it so much they want to rent it every year! Great recommendations from the hosts for restaurants and hiking in the area. We loved the move theater - and had a great night going to the drive-in movies a few miles down the road! We will be back!

Great Location
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the theatre room and their time by the water. The house was clean and the host was very responsive and easy to work with. Would recommend highly for families visiting the Burlington/Colchester area.

Great house with a beautiful view
This is a beautiful, clean house located right across from Mallett’s Bay. We had a great time with our 3 teenagers. There’s a few things about the house that are helpful to know: 1. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with great appliances and everything you need to serve meals. 2. The master bedroom suite has a barn door, which means it doesn’t lock. The bathroom also has a barn door, which means it doesn’t lock and you don’t have full privacy. There’s also a vent in the master bedroom that goes right to the basement area. Every sound travels. So if you’re looking for privacy in the master bedroom, it’s hard to get. 3. The lake is across a street and then you have to walk down 3 flights of stairs to the water. There is a tiny sliver of sand that serves as your “beach”. We had a ton of fun sitting on the chairs, kayaking and my son learned to SUP, but if you’re looking to lay out or have a sandy area, it’s not here. Kylie was very responsive and wanted to know how to make it a great experience. We had a really fun time at this property and as long as you know about the above, you’ll have a great time.

Great stay
Great place to stay, 20 min drive to burlington, beautiful lake views and comfortable beds. Movie theatre room did not look like advertisement however this did not disrupt our stay.
