About this property
Trout Lily Cabin at Maple Ridge Creek, N GA Mtns
"This is the best kept secret in the North Georgia Mountains! Our dog loved it, too!" (Guest S.S.)
Friends Groups, Family Gatherings, Pet Friendly. The perfect quiet getaway in North Georgia. Close to Waterfalls, Fishing, Hiking and more. Away from the busy towns but close enough to enjoy their dining, shopping, antiques, crafts, and nightlife. Stay on the property and enjoy the creek, the fire pit and game room.
Pet friendly Trout Lily has fun and cozy touches, everything you need for your vacation. Firepit, gameroom, gas grill, creekside fun, and a sky full of stars. You can hike the forest, kick back and enjoy the Smart TV and WiFi while enjoying the field and forest view. Everyone loves the creek and nearby Lake Nottely (also great for fishing) – only 1 mile from the Dam where you can enjoy the sunset.
Enjoy the board games and puzzles in your cabin or head over to the lodge for the game room with pool table, foosball, air hockey and lounge.
Maple Ridge Creek is located high in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at the top edge of Lake Nottely. We are 15 minutes from Blue Ridge, Ga, Blairsville, Ga and from Murphy, NC. With over thirty acres to explore and over 1/2 mile of rushing creek, you can play hard or sit back and relax. Our location gives you easy access to the best things that North Georgia has to offer, while providing a quiet, secluded retreat.

Want to discover foraging, edible and healing plants? Schedule a guided foraging hike and learn about what’s under your feet with Amanda, who was a recent guest speaker on Foraging at DragonCon and is a certified Naturalist and Mushroom Forager!
Want to see one of the most beautiful sunsets in Georgia? We're only a mile from Nottely Dam where many famous sunset photos have been taken. You can join others at the Dam to watch the sunset on any day.
Want to look at the stars? We have very little light pollution, no city lights, and you can see millions of stars by lying on one of our mats in the field. Sky Watchers and Telescopes welcome!
"Amanda took us on a foraging hike where we found fun salad greens and lots of mushrooms. We ate it all for dinner!" (Guest A.C.)
The perfect home base for you to explore the region, Maple Ridge Creek gives you a central location to venture to Blue Ridge, Copperhill, Blairsville, Hiawassee, Murphy, Helen, Dahlonega and more. Each has their own flavor of fun.
Depending on the season, visit the apple orchards, the flower fields or one of the many agricultural venues (that includes our local Moonshine distillery). There are so many fun things to do in this area that you'll want to come back again and again. ~ Waterfalls ~ Wineries ~ Hiking ~ Fishing ~ Kayaking ~ Tubing ~ Rafting ~ Photography ~ Festivals ~ Music ~ Art ~ People ~ Shopping ~ Fun Food ~ Foraging ~ Wildlife! ~ Scenic Drives ~ Ziplining ~ Helicopter Tours ~ Gem Mining ~ Ghost Tours

"Our wedding at Maple Ridge Creek was so much fun. The hosts helped us with planning and decorations. We had a large fire in the Fire Pit with Luxury S'Mores. It was relaxing, special and everyone had a great time." (Guest R.R.)
Maple Ridge Creek can accommodate up to 18 people in the 3 cabins AND can manage your corporate/private event, group or family retreat. Need to make room for more people? We have 2 50-Amp RV spots and lots of space for creekside camping. Inside, we have three different Meeting Spaces for up to 150 people. Do you need Food Services? There are kitchens in every cabin. We have an on-site chef who can prepare your meals or arrange for local catering services. We live just up the hill from the cabins, on the same property. The cabins are secluded but we are right there if you need us.
Outside, we have 6 clear flat acres, a covered Picnic Pavilion, large Fire Pit, and a robust Creek to play in or hang your hammock nearby. Come explore the property and imagine your family, friends or other group having their event here. We'd love to have you.

About the host
Your host

We have long dreamed of having a place to bring in community, share knowledge, while living in cooler and higher areas. In 2019 we moved our family to North Georgia to be closer to extended family and to enjoy the vast experiences available in the mountains. We’ve invested our heart and sweat into renovating this property. We hope you bring your friends, family and co-workers to enjoy all that we have to offer.
What makes this property unique
Maple Ridge Creek gives you a base camp where you can easily venture to Blue Ridge, Copperhill, Ellijay, Murphy, Helen, Dahlonega and still come back to a quiet and peaceful rest at the end of the day. We’ve had guests who changed their vacation so that they could come back to our property after on a week of being gone! You can walk deep into the green woods for a quiet walk where you’ll discover beautiful ferns, interesting mushrooms and wildlife burrows, or you can walk into the creek and find a sandy place to play or rest while letting the fast-flowing water massage away your cares. It’s really that good.
