Birdie Abode is perfectly placed for convenience. Tucked into a quiet, welcoming residential neighborhood, you’ll be just a 10-minute walk to Oregon State University, a 5-minute walk to groceries, and a 3-minute stroll to a neighborhood park with a playground; so you can often leave the car at home and skip the hassle of campus parking. Downtown Corvallis is less than 10 minutes by car, and you’ll be within easy reach of breweries, cider houses, and the Willamette Valley wine country (about 20 minutes). The Oregon Coast is just a 50-minute scenic drive west.
Walking is an easy way to get around this neighborhood, and the house is close enough to campus to avoid parking hassles. A bus stop is less than a 10-minute walk away, and rideshares like Uber and Lyft operate throughout Corvallis.

About the host
Hosted by Alexandra Eder
Corvallis has been my home for most of my adult life.
After growing up in the Midwest I move to the Northwest to attend college.
Education:
Oregon State University – BA – College of Business - Go Beaver Nation!
Antioch University – MA – Organization Development
Hobbies: Getting outdoors, golfing, theater and time with my family.
My first career was in the high-tech industry as a project management professional for many years and now I am enjoying using my skills in a different and creative way. Remodeling and decorating have always brought me joy. During my first career, I had a chance to travel across Asia and Europe gaining a breath of knowledge related to creating simple, home-like lodging comforts. Using Feng Shui principles, modern comfortable furnishing and natural lines are key attributes used designing, in partnership with our clients, each Fernwood Circle Guest House. In my second career, as lodging provider and licensed property manager in the State of Oregon, since 2019, I love my work and look forward to working with clients that have an interest in utilizing their real estate assets to provide upscale lodging options to business and leisure travels.

Why they chose this property
The property owners are long time Corvallis residents and devout Oregon State athletics fans.
They built the Cottage 15 years ago to host family and friends in a separate building on their property.
The Cottage is set back near the Creek with view of a beautiful perennial garden maintained by Felicia and Jimmy, the property hosts. The setting is quiet and peaceful and walking distance to campus and just a 10-minute walk to the Corvallis Club where our guests can golf as guests of Alexandra.
