What do you call the best elements of home situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Wears Valley? It’s called The Bear Stop. The Bear Stop is a one level cabin adjacent to Wears Valley Road with one bedroom, one bathroom, and easy access all year round. Being just minutes from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, and Townsend makes The Bear Stop ideally located for almost any adventure. The Bear Stop also features a custom made pool table and two arcade games with a wide selection of video games including Pac-Man, Centipede, Dig Dug, Space Invaders, and many others.

A trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg isn’t complete without a visit to a favorite Smoky Mountain eatery such as The Peddler or the Local Goat. However, if you decide to stay in and cook, The Bear Stop is ready to go with a full size kitchen. The Bear Stop has all the major appliances on hand (full-size refrigerator, microwave, electric stove/oven, and dishwasher), and several counter top appliances (including a blender, k-cup and regular coffee makers, coffee grinder, crock pot, waffle iron, and toaster) are provided as well.

Positioned behind the living room and kitchen is the full size dining room table. The table has plenty of space for two, but can easily seat four if guests happen to stop by for lunch or dinner. The dining table can also serve double duty as a game table or a work space for your laptop using the free Wi-Fi connection.

The Bear Stop features one main bedroom with hardwood floors and a king size bed. This warm and comforting space will make you feel right a home. Other amenities offered in The Bear Stop’s bedroom include its own Smart TV, a ceiling fan, two nightstands, and two bedside lamps. The one bathroom features a tile shower, a toilet, a single vanity, and the laundry closet with a full size washer and dryer.

Great cabin/house
Wears Valley is a great place and only about 20 minutes from light #3 in Pigeon Forge. We have stayed in many cabins over the years in the Smoky Mountains and this is one of the nicest and well maintained. Only downside, as the owner informs, if the noise from the traffic. Weekdays not too bad. Saturday night was the worst, but calms down at 11pm and starts back at 7am. If you are looking for a very reasonably priced getaway, you can't beat this location and cabin/house. Would stay there again.

Perfect mountain getaway
Our 4 night stay was wonderful as the location is not too far from area attractions. The inside of the property was adorned with perfect and appropriate decorations. The property manager was very responsive. We appreciated the accommodations and all of the provisions of the house. If you want a super quiet experience, you may want to consider a different location as the house was next to a main road and traffic can be heard. It didn't really detract from our experience though as we knew what to expect. Will definitely consider coming back if we vacation in n the area.

Vacation in the Smokey mountains
My husband and I booked this house for a 10 day vacation. We were very impressed with this cabin. Very clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked. Hot tub was definitely a bonus, and the mountains views were amazing. We did quite a few attractions and you were about 9miles from the parkway with all the attractions. We absolutely loved it there. A few buildings down go and get a fried pie, they are delicious!!
