Are you looking for the perfect getaway? Picture yourself in a cozy Appalachian style log cabin. The soft breeze blowing through the trees while you're swinging on the porch swing sipping iced tea. The views from the porch and windows are of evergreens, hardwoods and the enchanting Smoky Mountains. You have all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. You have a jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bath w/shower, washer & dryer, central heat & air and Weber charcoal grill. You can even nap in the hammock nestled in the trees. The 'tree house' cabin has earned its name because it feels like you are literally in a treehouse when you are rocking or swinging on the covered porch. You are surrounded by nature at its finest. Come for a visit and see why so many of our guests return time and time again.

Treehouse Cottage

Great stay for the money. Super clean, owner is super nice ,quiet and secluded. Nice 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage with whirlpool tub. Will stay here again!

This property was extremely cleaned and maintained. I loved how close it was to Cades Cove; the back porch was also pleasant to sit out and have a great time. Highly recommend!

Great place off the beaten path. Close enough when you want to be somewhere, but far enough away that you aren't in the mix with the crowds.

Amazing experience

This property is beautiful and so well kept. Everything about this experience was wonderful. Easy check in/ check out process. Our host deserves more than 5 stars. She is friendly and so very helpful. The personal touches she puts on this property are noticed and appreciated! My husband and I will definitely be coming back. Quiet and Peaceful

Second time we have stayed here. Very quiet and peaceful just a short distance from the Great Smoky park entrance. The owner had the cabin decorated with fall items giving it a home type feeling. Very clean, two bedrooms, fireplace, and whirlpool tub making it very comfortable. Five star rating from a senior couple that has stayed in a lot of places.

Smokey Mountain Getaway

This charming and cozy cabin was the perfect location for exploring the Smokey Mountains. We definitely loved the spring blooms and the sounds of birds from the porch swing! We wish that we could have stayed longer!

Great cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Horse Retreat. The cabin was very clean, the shower was very powerful, the jacuzzi was nice and big, the bed was the best we have ever slept on on vacation, it was so comfortable and the sheets and comforter were so soft. The owner was so very nice. We would most definitely stay here again.

Pleasant Cabin

Treehouse cabin

We loved our stay at treehouse cabin. Lots of privacy. We enjoyed the hot tub and barbecuing on the front porch. Yoga on the back porch with birds singing in the background every morning made it extra special. Definitely would recommend.

Property was very clean! Stay was comfortable. Melody had good communication. We enjoyed our stay. We are not the retail type so staying outside of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was a must. They are very close to the property, should you want to visit. We were very close to the National park and that was perfect for us.

Excellent Stay!

The property is great and very well equipped. Very clean! Melody was a great hostess and very responsive! My girlfriend forgot her keys, Melody called us and took time to ship them back! Location is perfect for Cades Cove and Tuckaleechee Cavern. Thank you for going out od your way to ship the keys back!

I'm a country 'girl' who grew up on a dairy farm in northwest Wisconsin. I have lived here in Townsend for 34 years now. I live on the 8 1/2 acres where the Treehouse cabin is located. I also have a log cabin which I love.

Why they chose this property

I am blessed to own one of the most beautiful tracts of land in Blount County. It is also very close to the Smoky Mtn. Natl. Park. I can ride my horse right into the Smokies. There are three trailheads under 3 miles from the Treehouse cabin. Guests love to hike in the Park, or even just go for walks here in our valley which is called Dry Valley.
