Welcome home to The Fifth in downtown Highlands NC! From the moment you enter this stunning apartment, you will be surrounded by all the touches of a luxury hotel but with the space and privacy you want to enjoy your mountain getaway.

You will be greeted by an open concept floor plan with vaulted ceilings in the kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen features quartz countertops, high end appliances, custom cabinetry including a wine cooler and a hand-built island with a butcher block top and seating for four. The dining area has a table with ample room for six. The living area has plenty of space to relax while reading a book or enjoying the game on the 65” television. The electric fireplace gives just the right touch of ambiance for a cool evening. The top-of-the-line sleeper sofa with air chamber and plush mattress give you space for two additional guests. And kids are always welcome at The Fifth; they even have their own loft space set up as a play area!

Off the living area, you can take in the cool mountain breezes from the screened porch while sipping a glass of wine. It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening.

With two bedrooms featuring king sized beds and two full baths, this well-appointed apartment provides luxury bedding, Frette bath linens, and Molton Brown bath products. The bathrooms have heated flooring and towel bars along with custom vanities. The master bath has a walk-in glass enclosed shower with a rain head shower system. The second bath features a tiled shower with tub. Both bedrooms also have 65” televisions.

The Fifth is located less than one block from Main Street where you can make the most of your stay as you walk to your favorite dining spot, boutique or stroll to the park to take in some live music on a Saturday evening. You will love staying in the heart of Highlands!

This apartment is beautiful, with all the amenities, and so close to downtown Highlands! We stayed there for the week of our daughter's wedding, and it was the perfect location for catching up with family and wedding guests. It was our second time staying in this apartment and we would be delighted to stay there again. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and very accommodating!

Amazing home and location!

The property was amazing! Recently renovated and in the best location! Tom and Tricia were great to work with and allowed my wife to stay later on our check out date so she could take some work calls. Highly recommend this rental for anyone who wants to have a great time in Highlands in the next spot. Definitely plan on renting again!

Perfect for our family! Close to Wedding Events at Old Edwards & rehearsal dinner venue on Main St

Our family used this beautiful two bedroom unit as a part of our stay for our son's wedding at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn. It was perfect! The grandkids loved the loft and we loved the proximity to all of the events, including a wonderful rehearsal dinner and Welcome Party at Wolfgang's (literally right around the corner). Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to be right next to Main Street and with (or without) children.

Perfect apartment/condo in prime location!

We are so pleased with The Fifth after a three night stay in Highlands! The location is perfect - right across the street from Mountain Fresh and walkable to all of Main Street. We had family get married at Old Edwards so everything was close by. The beds were comfortable and it was very well stocked. We appreciated the little vanity set ups in each bathroom. Tricia was so easy to communicate with and we are very grateful for the opportunity to stay at her property. Would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Definitely lived up to billing

The place is immaculately appointed and upkept. Great little add-ons like nice stemware, radiant heated.floors in bath and even a childs nook. Place definitely earned its 5/5 star rsting and if it were in the mountains with a fireplace it would be 12/5. That said, the location is great for ease of getting around town, access to the mountain grocery and hiking up to sunset rock. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The Ideal Location

I booked the 5th for my son's wedding weekend and it could not have been more perfect! It is beautiful, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The beds and linens were high quality and very comfy. The layout provided privacy for each couple. We loved sitting on the porch with coffee in the morning and watching the activity on Main St. The location cannot be beat! Tricia was a fabulous host, always responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay at the 5th again!

Perfect location, wonderful apartment!

We had a great long weekend stay here. The apartment is exactly as described. It was perfectly clean, comfortable and had everything we would need. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable - this makes such a difference in how much we enjoy a place. We walked everywhere in downtown Highlands - this location is so convenient. We appreciated the great communication with the managers and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you! We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful weekend

The apartment was great we really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and well equipped. Amazing location! If I had one note for the owners, it would be to add some window shades to the living room windows at least by the sofa area. If you are using the sleeper sofa there is no privacy and lights that shine in. Shades would've been nice.

Best location around. Right on corner of 5th directly across the Mountain Grocery. Loved walking everywhere. Loved hearing the church bells across the street every hour. Loved the unbelievably cozy beds/blankets, loved the fireplace and comfy couch, loved the huge screen tvs for football games and movie nights, loved the little porch to drink coffee and people watch. Loved how clean and well decorated it was. Loved the fluffy new towels and high quality shampoos/conditioners. Loved he fuzzy throw blankets. Can you tell we loved it?

Perfect Downtown Highlands Stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It looks exactly like the pictures with no detail overlooked- soft robes, comfy beds & great toiletries provided. Absolutely perfect location for downtown Highlands- close to the park & grocery as well as Main Streets shopping & restaurants right out your front door. My boys enjoyed the special kids loft with games…& we all loved relaxing on the patio & the sunlight filled main room. Only note, if you plan on sleeping extra people in the living room pullout bed there are no drapes in the living room at nighttime so the street lights can be a little bright at nighttime. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. This is a spot we look forward to returning to again!
