Be our guests! We like to think of Pinetop Nest in the Sugar Mountain area as our home away from home. We absolutely love to be there as a family and try to take care of our condo so you will enjoy it as much as we do. It may be not the ideal choice if you’re looking for something luxurious or fancy, or high-tech – it’s a mountain cabin in the woods. But if you want something cozy, welcoming, and heart-warming, our Pinetop Nest is waiting for you! You will love the place because our comfortable 2 bedrooms, 1-bath end-unit condo is located on the top of the hill nestled in the trees in the most secluded area of Ski Country Condominium, and it is the perfect spot for your next great all-season vacation! The unit has 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and a couch, which pulls out to a full sleeper. The kitchen is stocked with a coffee maker, toaster, full electric range, dishwasher, microwave, blender, waffle maker, dishes, cookware, and more. The wooden dining table can comfortably accommodate 6 persons. Unwind in the living area after the day's activities and kick your feet up in front of the gas fireplace while streaming shows and movies on the smart TV. But let’s face it you're not really on mountain vacation to watch TV😊 When staying at our Pinetop Nest you will truly enjoy a private quiet deck with a view of trees where you can relax with a glass of wine or morning coffee together with friends and family. And keep your eyes on the lookout for elks and deer! Set close to Sugar Mountain Resort and Banner Elk, you'll be able to easily travel to shopping, dining, and all the area attractions. Come winter – the slopes right across the road are there for you! Come summer and spend your days hiking or biking on one of the countless trails in the area. Or visit great attractions like Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster and High Mountain Expeditions which offers activities like rafting, river tubing, and gem mining. The magnificent Grandfather Mountain, the most photographed place in the area, is just a short drive from the condo. Come any time of the year and let us be your hosts!

Great place to get away for the weekend. Very close to sugar mountain ski resort and grandfather mountain. Very responsive host and in a great location.
This is an excellent property located across the street from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. The host was very attentive to questions and ensuring we had what we needed for our stay. The property was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including coffee, extra blankets and pillows, and plenty towels for a family of five. The multi-zone thermostats in each room were also nice so that temperature control could be set to each rooms preference. It snowed while we were there and the owners provided salt for the stairs along wilth snow shovel. We would stay here again.

Dear Hunter, thank you a lot for your stay. We're so happy that you had a great vacation time with your family and that our property was a part of it. We will be glad to host you again! Thank you.
This review is for a 3 day weekend stay over the rainy Memorial Day weekend with a family of 2 adults and 3 children (7, 10, and 12).
Check-in and communication - Vadim was extremely helpful and responsive host during our stay. Communication was minimal and short, but enough to know that if we had any significant issues or question, we felt confident that he could answer them as needed.
Location - this was our first time staying in these condos and we were pleasantly surprised. This unit was at the top of the hill and isolated...even on a crowded holiday weekend, we felt secluded, safe and tucked away from the noise and any distractions. As one of the last units at the top of the hill, we really felt like we had such an incredible amount of privacy and really felt like we were in a treehouse tucked away on the mountain, yet conveniently close to many of the nearby attractions (Alpine Wilderness, Grandfather Mtn, etc). This was a huge plus for us esp with small kids.
Rooms and layout - we had no issues with the room layout and the condo easily fit all of us with the 2 bedrooms and the sleeper sofa. We really appreciated the large dining table (as opposed to dine in countertops) since it allowed our family to enjoy meals and game time together during the rainy weekend. That was a huge plus for us as we've stayed at new condos that sacrifice the dining table.
Cleanliness - the cleaning service was great and there were no issues.
Overall - we'll def. Be returning soon!
