Very cozy, modern home with all the amenities! Our team came to Richmond for a conference and enjoyed that we were walking distance to the Greater Richmond Convention Center (provided you’re comfortable with hills!). The neighborhood also has a rich history right alongside more modern coffee shops and restaurants. Definitely check out Ironclad coffee just down the road.

My daughter was moving from Richmond and this place was close to her existing apartment and provided a calm place for us after a day of packing or loading or cleaning. Conveniently located near a highway, cafes, etc, added to our experience. We highly recommend it.

This place was so close to most everything that was on our list to see do and eat. We walked to many of the places. This is in an old brownstone so it had high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out. Furniture was new, clean and modern. We had our pup with us and there were plenty of different ways to walk him. It is on the corner of a very busy intersection so we did have to watch crossing the street very carefully. The traffic noise was not too bad inside especially where the bedrooms were. You do indeed get the full house but there is a tenant in the basement. But she was very quiet and we didn't even know she was there. The beds had loud mattresses covers that I do not love which made the sheets slip and slide around and get bunched up. The mattresses were also a bit giggly so my husband and I took separate rooms which helped. That was really my only complaint. Over all a good, large place to stay with nice character and in a convenient location.

Amazing getaway

This was my first Vrbo experience and couldn’t have been happier. The house is amazing! Perfect location to everything in downtown Richmond VA. Essence was an amazing host, very attentive and responded to all my questions. If I find myself needing to go to Richmond again I will definitely be staying here again!

Fun city living w/historic charm!

It was fun to stay in a house that had historic charm but with fresh updates. The location worked great for us for the things we wanted to do in town. There was plenty of room to spread out. We appreciated how the upstairs bathroom was set up with the shower and toilet in a separate room from the double sink vanity. Essence was easy to communicate with and prompt when we needed new light bulbs for two side lamps that had burnt out bulbs. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was exactly as pictured on Vrbo, and Essence was very responsive when we had a problem with the heating. The house was quite cold downstairs (but comfortable for sleeping upstairs), which they were unable to fix during our stay, so we didn't spend much time in the house. However, it was comfortable and Essence is working on fixing the heat.

As Advertised!

My friends and I had a great visit. Essence was an engaging and pleasant host to work with! When we checked-in, there was an issue with our entry code and after a quick call with Essence, she was able to fix the issue within minutes. The house was very clean, well stocked, and had great charm. The only downside to the property is the whole neighborhood is street parking with very limited parking options close to the house. I would book this house again.
