Stunning design, peaceful location, and all the amenities you could ask for. The best view in Rabun County! You can see all the way to South Carolina. Escape to this cozy, above-it-all view and leave your worries behind on your relaxing getaway to Nordic Nest.
The space
☀ Enjoy your coffee while watching the sunrise over the beautiful vistas from the sprawling porch. Watch the sunrise from your hot tub, or make fire as you star gaze after a long hiking day. Explore downtown Clayton or the Chattooga River only a few minutes away.

☀ Nordic Nest is located on the southeast side of Screamer Mountain - the side that is undeveloped and produces majestic sunrise views. While you will feel like you have the mountain to yourself, you are 5 miles from downtown Clayton and all its great restaurants (Clark's on Main, Fortify, U-Joint) and shopping (Wander, Reeve's Ace Hardware).

☀ The space: 3 Bed 2 Bath

☀ This is a great jumping off point for Lake Burton and Lake Rabun, the Tallulah River, Tallulah Gorge, Dillard and countless acres of national forest. Play golf at Kingwood (minutes down the road), fish the Chattooga River, hike the Bartram Trail - the area has it all. When you're done for the day enjoy the incredible view from the deck and hot tub. Our view is the best in Rabun County, and stretches all the way into South Carolina.

☀ New paved road! Nordic Nest does sit on top of the mountain and requires driving up a steep, curving mountain drive. A new private, paved road was just added to make getting to the cabin so much easier! 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not required, but vehicle with ground clearance is suggested. No refunds will be offered for not making it up the mountain.

HOUSE RULES:

☀ Late Check Out Fees are as follows: $50 for the first hour, $100 for two hours, and $500 for any extended time.
☀These fees ensure fair compensation for our cleaners or any subsequent guests affected by delays. If you need a late checkout, please inquire in advance. Depending on upcoming bookings, we might accommodate you, though a fee might still apply.
☀Extra Guests: If more guests than permitted are found at the property, we reserve the right to deny entry based on AirBnB’s policies. Extra guests will be treated as trespassers. An additional fee of $50/night per extra guest may apply, or we might request that you vacate the property.
☀If uncertain about guest numbers or daytime visitors, please reach out. We aim to prevent any misunderstandings.

It was our 10 year anniversary

We loved the place very nice lol drive way is tough for a big f250. It did storm bad our last night wind blew the swing off the porch and was barely hanging on the rail we had to get it back on the porch before we left this morning!

Great views, great cabin, great stay!

The drive up to the cabin from the main road was somewhat long, but the trek was worth it! The views are incredible, the property was very nice and clean. The location is convenient to Clayton and other points of interest. The host was very responsive to all communications and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great get away

Great get away. We wanted a quiet cabin away from things and this place was perfect. Great views. Cleaning company should have done a better job We had to purchase laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper and dishwasher soap. Drive up was a little challenging but nothing that wouldn’t make us not come back, just be prepared. We would definitely stay again.

Christmas paradise ⛄

The cabin was amazing the view was Breathtaking everything we needed was there or right down the road we loved staying for our first Family Vacation ever in 18 years we hope to be back and honestly we wasn't ready to come back home but Reality is Reality and we had to get back to thie grind to plan for our next trip the owner was always available to help we give it 5 stars

Great Cabin!

We truly enjoyed staying here this weekend. This cabin has amazing views! It is remote which is the best. It was so cozy. The host was responsive when needed. I would definitely stay here again.
