A beautiful great room with gas logs, wrap around porch and spectacular mountain views. In addition, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, game room with pool table and an elevator for easy access between levels. This authentic log home, which sits high in the Smoky Mountains, is just a quick drive to Historic Downtown Waynesville. Enjoy the outdoor stone patio, fire pit and gas grill.

Quick trip to NC

Our family took a quick trip to Waynesville for a family wedding. 2 grand parents and aunts and a some cousins enjoyed our stay together at this cozy cabin in the mountains! Loved our stay and would love to return some day soon. Very clean and warm and welcoming!

Cozy Cabin

This property was very clean, and the property manager/owner was very communicative with answering any questions or home needs. We were here for a birthday weekend/NYE, and the location was perfect. So close to activities, but felt remote. Only nitpick about the property is that there isn't an indoor stairwell, but we would still stay at this property again.

Wonderful mountain views

Everything listed about the property was accurate. The views and accommodations were outstanding. We were not prepared ahead of time that we had to purchase some extra supplies that we have found customary at most the of the other VRBO's we have stayed at over the years. Again, the property was great as was the host.

Wonderful Property and Location w/ Spectacular Views

This is a lovely home with all the amenities your family would need for a mountain vacation. Everything was clean and comfortable and Jayne made it easy to check in and gain entry to the property. The information provided about the area and which restaurants take dogs came in very handy. The house is located just 10 minutes from downtown and while situated up the mountain (hence the great views), it isn't too high up, making it easy to take day trips and go out to eat. We enjoyed relaxing outside in the rockers, playing pool and sitting by the fire - it was the perfect setting to get away from it all. Would definitely stay here again!

Simpy Wonderful

We had an in credible time. The property is charming and tastefully decorated. The house was spotless and everything was properly labeled. Everything you need to have a relaxing time in the mountains. The view from the porch was incredible. Very private , you do not see the neighbors from where the house is located. It was extremely convenient to have the town and multiple restaurants within a 7 minute drive . We enjoyed the Beach dinner almost every day, Maggie's and Amici for dinner. I can not wait to come back.

Beautiful home, great kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, close to Waynesville

Great property – beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Waynesville. Good kitchen layout and modern appliances, easy to cook and eat on site. Bedrooms were very comfortable and we had plenty of space for us, our four adult kids and the dog. Jayne was extremely helpful, quick and responsive. We would certainly return to this property. The 10-minute drive to Waynesville provides easy access to the Publix grocery store and there are a number of good restaurants and brew pubs. Frog Level Brewing is outstanding – right on the river in town and dog friendly. It’s an easy 30 minutes to Asheville – would recommend Rhubarb restaurant and Wicked Weed beer garden. The property is centrally located – although the drives are a bit longer (an hour), you can reach the Great Smoky Mountains to the west, wineries to the east (Stone Ashe and Burntshirt), Pisgah National Forest, Chimney Rock State Park and the DuPont State Forest. We used the property as a base for day trip hiking, and it worked out great.

Home away from home- a beautiful mountain property

My friends and I stayed here for a mountain vacation over a long weekend, and we cannot recommend this place enough!!! The home and property are even better than the pictures and perfect for any group from friends, to family, to a romantic getaway. The kitchen has brand new appliances that were perfect when we wanted to cook meals in. The tvs, pool table, and games were awesome for entertainment at home. The elevator made it so easy to move heavy suitcases and groceries upstairs and is great for guests who are unable to use the stairs. All the rooms were spacious and cozy, and the bathrooms even had small toiletries available in case you forgot! The fire pit was great for enjoying time outdoors and roasting marshmallows, and the views were impossible to beat! One of our favorite things was sitting on the rocking chairs or porch swing with a view of the mountain. The hosts were incredible and easy to communicate with, which made check-in and check-out a breeze. They provided a helpful booklet of all their local favorites for hiking, dining, etc., which was great for first time visitors. The house was a quick 30 minute drive to downtown Asheville for when we wanted to check out the breweries, and only 10-15 minutes from some amazing hiking trails. I would give this place 10 stars if I could, and my friends and I can’t wait to come back!

Great for groups

We attend an annual Gourd Gathering festival in Waynesville. The house was incredibly comfortable for five, and the elevator was easy to use.Parking was easy for four cars, although it wouldn’t work for a trailer. The kitchen had every appliance necessary and a separate icemaker, which was nice for the woman driving back to Iowa.The house is dog, friendly, and easy to keep clean. The host was very responsive and answered questions quickly. Zero complaints.

Friends getaway!

We enjoyed our annual friends get-together at this lovely home. The home was comfortable, clean, and modernly furnished, while still maintaining a mountain getaway atmosphere. The owners clearly put a lot of time and care into ensuring their guests have a warm and relaxing experience.

Perfect Family Getaway

The home is beautiful and very clean. We easily found everything we could have needed and more. Jayne thought of everything a guest could need. We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this was by far the best. Everything is so well organized. Communication with Jayne was excellent. She truly was a 5 star host. The location was wonderful for visiting Waynesville and other nearby towns. We would stay here again.

Magical Christmas

Our family enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay over the Christmas holiday. The kitchen was well equipped for all of cooking and baking needs. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and beautiful views. We would love to come back for a 3rd stay in the future!

Perfection

Our favorite vacation rental. Perfect for our friends who are all active seniors. My husband is in a wheelchair and this home was easy to move around in…he even enjoyed the fire pit! We did not go shopping for anything. We hope to stay here again.

Graduation Weekend

Wonderfully appointed, cozy getaway mountain house. We were in town for my daughter's graduation from WCU and had family in from NY, CA and VA. Modern kitchen (and everything else), amazing porch and fire pit. The elevator was perfect for our elderly parents and everyone had a great time here.

This property was the best VRBO we have ever stayed out. The pictures were very accurate. The host was the most organized I have ever seen. The finishes and furnishes were high quality and beautiful! We will stay here again. The driveway looks scary but is very navigable. Well done!

Memorable!

We celebrated my 65th birthday in Jayne's cabin, and we had the best time! Everything was neat as a pin and very organized, (especially in the kitchen area). Beds were comfy and linens were soft and comfortable, which I think is an important factor when on vacation.. (Who wants to sleep in a bed that sags in the middle?) The views are amazing and the cabin is very cozy! Very convenient to downtown Waynesville. Thank you, Jayne, for helping to make my 65th birthday so memorable. "Looking forward to our next stay!

Great cabin!

Wonderfully cozy cabin with plenty of room. We brought my mother here for a trip to the mountains and a Christmas Day at Biltmore to mark her 80th birthday. We all had a fabulous time and this cabin and host helped to make it specatcular! Really fabulous spot.
