The Condo Is Not As Described
• The host misrepresented the unit. Having a patio was important to us. The VRBO description lists a patio. Although there may have been a patio there at one time, currently the space a fully enclosed, unfinished and unfurnished, cinder block and corrugated metal attached space at the rear of the condo. It is a totally useless space for a renter, IMHO. You must look at this space from the living area if you keep the blinds open. Had we known what the ‘patio’ was, we would not have rented this condo.
• When I told the host he misrepresented the patio he, became very upset, told me to move out, and threatened to “…knock out my teeth”. I notified the Scottsdale Police of his threat.
• In the event of a fire, the front door is only one point of egress from the condo. The other two doors in the condo open to the space the host calls a ‘patio’, which is fully enclosed and without egress. The only exit from the condo in the event of a fire or emergency is the front door.
• The toilet is crammed between the shower and the vanity. A large person will have problems fitting and maneuvering on the toilet. I Measured the space at 23.5 inches.
• The unit is advertised for 4 people. Although there are 2 beds, there are only 3 spaces in the condo to sit comfortably - on the couch. There is barely room for 3 on the couch. See the host’s photo.
• The shower has low pressure. Most of the openings on the shower head are clogged, or shoot sideways.
