Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is very accommodating. It has a small beach area with all the toys you need kayaks, paddle boards, sand toys. Cubes and more. A nice fire pit. What would be nice though would be screens so you could open all windows. Or even a window air for upstairs because it does get very hot.

A Treasure in the North Woods

A stones throw away from Eagle River’s amazing downtown area, this amazing cottage is a peaceful and beautiful retreat. The cozy house nestles up to a serene, tree-lined view of Yellow Birch Lake. With opportunities to enjoy swimming, boating, and beautiful outdoor walks, all without leaving the property, this home is an absolutely perfect place to take in beauty of Eagle River.

Great place, great view!

Ending up staying in the property with some friends while playing in a hockey tournament in Eagle River. House was exactly as described, with plenty of space for everyone to hang out and enjoy time with each other. Had to reach out to property manager on a couple of occasions (not related to issues with the property) and Jessica was outstanding. May look to come back in the summer to enjoy the view of the lake!

Great family cabin

The cabin was neat and clean. The bedroom are spacious and comfortable. The deck is amazing to sit and have coffee, chat and watch the water and look for wildlife. The dock has a bench and area to lay out, if wanted. There is a nice sandy area for floating and playing. We saw eagles, mink, muskrats and deer. The fishing was pretty crummy while we were there, could have been weather related.

Yellow Birch Lake

Very nice family retreat. Exactly as posted. Great location. Nice waterfront setting with gentle sloping access at dock. Kayak and paddle boards as well as all sorts ok stuff in the boat shed. Would definitely stay again. Not a complaint but beds are very firm so if you like soft / plush mattress bring your own. Weather during our stay was abnormal . Very Hot. 90 plus . At the price point Ac would be a nice touch especially for the main level

Tired Property

We had a great time together despite some less than ideal weather. However this property was in generally poor physical condition and had only a very "eclectic" selection of equipment and tools. The quality of some of the mattresses was not good and the building itself was in need of lots of maintenance. We stayed here 5 years ago and it doesn't look like much basic and preventative care has been provided since. It is in a fine location and could be a great vacation site but. It needs lots of TLC.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: this was our second year here. We had a great time. My grandkids loved all the sand and water toys. They loved the kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, skis and all the sand toys. Its close to town if you run out of anything and lots to do on the lake. We have not had any luck with fishing but plenty of other things to do. We did have a problem with no plug in the tub to take a bath and something washed down the drain and clogged it up. but they had a shower in the basement and it worked out fine.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have booked several houses on the Eagle River chain and was always pleased. Unfortunately, I was extremely unhappy with this property. I have a 2nd home in Conover but we always rent 1 week on the chain for the 4th of July as a vacation. We have been doing this for over 20 years.The lakefront worked out well and was beautiful. The house was clean but smelled so badly of mold and mildew that candles did not even help. There was mold on the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. We were excited about the screen porch, but it was disgusting and we could not use it due to the condition. We could not find any cushions in the garage (as we were told) so we had no chairs to sit on the upper deck. Everything we did find to sit on had to be cleaned of dirt and bugs. It was very hot in the house and we could hardly open any windows. It seemed they were all painted shut. Most of my guests had to sleep at my house in Conover due to the mold and mildew affecting allergies andI did not want to expose my 10 month-old twin grandchildren to those conditions.I have never been to a property where nothing was set up for use. I spent the first day of my vacation locating and cleaning things. I have pictures if you are interested. I am sure this property would work out for somepeople, but unfortunately it did not for us. Just thought you should know this was not worth the money.Thank you for your time.

We walked through the house and it was very clean and waiting our arrival! There was a note on the upstairs shower that said"Out of order,do not use". I asked her about it and she made a call right away to handle this. She plunged the drain and said we could use it but drain was slow to drain. Plumber came out to look at it but said he could not fix unless he tore drywall out to replace drain. This was a big inconvenience to us with having 10 people in the house to shower with one shower!We could not use it or you stood in 4 " of water,it took hours to drain! The other issue is the beds! We had 9 adults and one child staying here and you have all these twin bunk beds! They are so filmsy,noisy,small and uncomfortable with only 3" Mattresses! You coulds at least have a queen in each room and a set for bunks,it would be so much better for adult sleeping. That is the only thing that needs to improve. The house is well stocked with what you need for your stay. It's in a great location! I love all the things in the boathouse to use! We had a great vacation!

Family Vaca Eagle River Chain

The house had what we need including a lot of sleeping space for a large family, multiple tv's and two nice fireplaces. However, it really needs some maintenance - kitchen stove is not in good shape, closet doors broken, towel rack falling off and a dangerous bathtub that is too slippery to use. It could have been cleaner - we did have some dirty sheets and mouse droppings. Note - I am not from Mantiwoc. I have tried to get my address fixed with Anchor for the past year.

The beds were comfortable, the view was spectacular, and it was close to town. The home is not great for elderly folk. My parents had a hard time on the stairs going into the house and couldn’t go down to the dock. They enjoyed the rocking chairs on the top deck. The neighbor was friendly and helpful for our stay. Our only complaint was while the house was clean, the deck was littered with tree debris, the tables were dirty as well as the chair cushions. We had to clean before we could enjoy. Overall, it’s a cute place that’s dog friendly for a family stay.
