The cabin is immaculate! We had everything we needed to relax. The hot tub is large and it actually works! We were five minutes from town and less than five minutes from the state park. We couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location, or a more accommodating place to stay. We will stay here again!
This cozy cabin was perfect for our family get away. Minutes from the state park, the cabin is tucked away in a residential community surrounded by a forest. Even though there are neighbors it felt very private and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing in the morning and listening to the birds while we had our coffee. Inside, Angela & Carlos, thought of everything! In the kitchen, there was coffee and a coffee pot, teas and a kettle, plus everything you need to prepare and serve meals. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. Lots of clean towels and toiletries provided. The hot tub was clean and separate towels were provided. Our teen son slept in the loft and was super comfortable. It was his own hideaway. We loved making s’mores around the fire pit and the seating area was so cute! If we are ever in Broken Bow again, we will definitely book again!

Construction Noise
We had a wonderful time at the Sol Shack. The cabin was super clean and beautifully decorated. We were a little disappointed that they were building a cabin directly next-door, like 15ft away. While I understand that you can't control cabins being built, and what your neighbors are doing, we would have appreciated the heads up that construction would be ongoing while we were staying at the cabin. I don't necessarily think it's fair to pay full price when we were woken up at 7 AM in the morning to endless hammering and a loud generator. I think it would be a good idea to let your future guests know when booking that the construction is happening so they can prepare.
I am a pediatrician and my husband is a real estate professional in Dallas, TX. We strive to provide the best quality and function in each property. I love fun, colorful, unique spaces and try to incorporate handmade items in each home. We have an energetic Bernese Mountain dog named Chawala that loves to come with us to the cabin.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is located in one of the original Hochatown neighborhoods that is still so quiet and secluded yet one of the closest to the river and lake.
