Clean condo with ocean view

We enjoyed our stay. The condo is in a beautiful gated community and has beautiful views. It was a good size condo and appeared to be very clean. There’s a nice pool area but the beach is a little far. Unsure as to why the beach shuttle isn’t working. We would return & would recommend the condo to others.

Coolest area in Destin

This condo was perfect and cozy! It was close to a jetter, which was even better than being right on the beach. There were many boats pulling up to let people on and off, and I felt safer from sharks because of all the boat traffic. We even saw an ice cream boat pull up, which was really cool! The condo was perfectly nestled overlooking the ocean, and we could watch all the cool boats going in and out of the channel. I would definitely stay at this place again!

I liked the closed front porch to store rafts and beach items. Management was very attentive and returned texts promptly. I would book again in the future. The beach is a bit of a walk but doable.

Weekend teip

The beach was way farther than we expected. Walking with bags and coolers isn’t really doable. However, the shuttle service was good. The bed was fairly comfortable but super squeaky. We had a late flight our last night, and wanted a late check out. Originally it was at 10am. Alexa told us the night before we could stay an extra night since it wasn’t booked. Unfortunately we were still just given until 11am. I realized after booking that there were a ton of fees added to the low nightly rate, which is my fault. Overall, it was fine. I wouldn’t discourage someone from staying there, but I’d probably look elsewhere before booking again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable condo with a lovely view of the pool and the jetty/pass in the distance. A little bit of a walk to the beach, but not bad. No issues with the condo, just the rental company (Destin Pointe). There was no one in the office ever on the day of check in. Finally got some info from the gate house. Had to text the staff to get answers that I felt would have been helpful in the condo, such as, how do I get to the beach? How do I get my beach chairs and umbrellas? Where are the bikes we are supposed to have use of? (We never did get the bikes, even after calling the bike rental place twice. Oh well.) It would be helpful if they would just put this info in the condo, or even provide a map of the Destin Pointe area, instead of having to text them all the time. Just a suggestion!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon booking our stay at Magnolia House, we were thrilled to see photos of a beautiful, secluded beach. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found that the photos were not an accurate representation of the property's beach access. We had to take a tram and walk several blocks to reach the public beach access where we were provided with free chairs and umbrellas.However, despite this initial disappointment, we found that the property was well-maintained and clean. The owner and manager were also quick to respond to any of our questions and concerns. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service we received.While we enjoyed our stay, we did feel that the property could use some upgrades. The bathroom sink took forever to drain and the mattresses on the bed and pull out couch were not very comfortable. We suggest the owner consider adding memory foam mattress toppers to ensure guests can get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the patio furniture was uncomfortable, and we recommend swapping out the Adirondack chairs for a small plush sectional, and a comfy bistro set for eating poolside with that grand view! Despite these minor drawbacks, we would still recommend Magnolia House to friends and family. We enjoyed exploring the many activities and attractions in the area, including the Gulfarium marine adventure park, the US Air Force Armament Museum, boating on Crab Island with Happy's pontoon rental service, Big Kahuna water park, & Destin Pier. The restaurants were spectacular! We recommend Boshamps Oyster House, & Fatboys! Overall, we had a great time on our vacation and would recommend Magnolia House as a comfortable and convenient base for exploring all that the area has to offer.
