Really beautiful cabin. Great quiet location near a dog-friendly beach. Owners are responsive and friendly. Easy cleanup process. And really great value.
We had a lovely stay in Tahoma. Flat street towards the end of the road was perfect for the kids to ride bikes and explore. Looking forward to our next stay here.

I don't get it. Everything you said is positive. You didn't mention the gourmet kitchen, the beamed ceilings, and the deck with dining for 8. And, you said you're looking forward to your next stay. Why the 4 stars?
We absolutely loved our time here. We spend a lot of time on the west shore and this house perfectly situated at the end of a cul-de-sac was amazing for us with two young kids, who are newer bike riders. We loved walking and riding bikes to chambers and Tahoma Market every morning, and the trails around the house. The house itself was perfect for us— 3 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was nicely updated and I liked the layout— it really had everything we needed. I will definitely be staying here again!
This is our go to vacation home when our family wants to spend a few days together at beautiful Lake Tahoe. We have stayed here a few times. The home is clean and comfortable (very comfy mattresses!). The location is at the end of the road so very quiet, with the forest and hiking trails right next to it. We made Thanksgiving dinner here and the kitchen had all the tools we needed for a successful meal.
We had a wonderful time at Kitty’s house in Tahoe! It was perfect for our group of two families and was exactly as described. And Kitty was easy to communicate with and was very responsive to all of my questions. We hope to visit again soon!

Thank you for staying with us. You were an excellent guest!
We were traveling with my family with younger children, and my in-laws (with limited mobility). The cabin was so comfortable for all of us and had enough room for us to spread out, and also to spend time together. The kitchen was VERY well stocked and appreciated.
This is at least the fifth time our family has stayed at this vacation home. It’s comfortable, has a well supplied kitchen, and is always clean. And the location is wonderful! It’s at the end of the road and is quite private, and right next to the forest with great hiking and sledding opportunities. We will be back.

Thank you for yet another great review. I’m always happy to have you return.
House was well equipped. Downside was that house had not been prepared for arrival (water and hot water not turned on and house could have used a good cleaning); however owner was very responsive, quickly, with giving direction to get back on track.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
We loved everything about this property! First of all communication with the owner was outstanding, thank you! The place was beyond outstanding. Spacious, two fireplaces, very clean, great location, close to the ski resorts, games to play and movies to watch, walking trail from the cabin, BBQ on the deck, and all the appliances you need just like you were at home. The owner even created a guest book that is a Bible for everything in the area, food, sking, etc... We will definitely rent here again. Our family had the BEST time.
Truly a home away from homeThis beautiful house has everything you could want. If you don’t see something you need, look a bit harder, I’m sure you’ll find it. We particularly appreciated the large amount of storage space - large dressers, spacious closets with plenty of hangers, lots of hooks - so we could really move in and not have to live out of a suitcase. The entry has a bench for putting on shoes and hooks for hanging outerwear. The kitchen has granite countertops, high-end appliances, and every utensil you could want. In the downstairs bathroom, the toilet and tub/shower are separated from the sink by a door so that 2 people can use it more efficiently. Large beautiful deck with BBQ, quiet location with hiking trail, why would you want to stay anywhere else?

Thank you for the wonderful review. I wanted to leave a review for you but I was out of town and I’m not good on navigating Vrbo on my phone.
One of the few (maybe the only) properties that mirror the description at HomeAway. Clean, well organized rental. Everything was in working order. The kitchen had everything needed. We stayed a month and our only issue was that we couldn’t initially get connected to the internet. The issue was resolved immediately!

Thanks so much for the great review. We're glad you had a good time.

Had a great time and your cabin was very nice. The people who were in the cottage parked over so far
That we had to park one in front of the other. The only thing that was uncomfortable was thT it was very hot in there with all the fans on . I don't know if it was hotter than normal causing it. But would still come back.

Lisa, I came to the site to write a review. But I guess it was closed. Sorry, here's what I would have written.
What more can I say, Lisa left the house immaculate!
Super clean and tidy, I couldn't recommend Lisa highly enough.
Lisa was an absolute pleasure to host, and welcome back anytime.
We had a wonderful time. The house is located in a very quiet area with forest just beyond it. We walked to Chamber's landing beach/restaurant on Saturday evening and it was a great atmosphere. We had a great time. The local store with groceries and cafe is also very close by. The house itself is older but we had a great time. We were a party of 8 and everyone was comfortable. When we checked in, we saw the beds in 2 bedrooms weren't made. I sent a message through the app and the owner was quick to respond and offer to send the cleaning staff immediately. The owners are very responsive and worked quickly to resolve the issue. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed to cook our meals. Plenty of utensils and plates, bowls and cutlery. There was more than enough towels for all of us, and there were spare sheets for the beds.Overall, it was a very good stay. Thank you.
My family had a lovely time staying in this home. It is in a quiet, well kept neighborhood. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make ourselves at home including coffee maker and hot water kettle. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and extra towels were available in the linen closet. The furniture was comfortable and in great condition. Ample lighting and heat for the chilly evenings. We especially enjoyed lunch on the front deck and star gazing at night. There’s a trail up the forest right next to the house where we enjoyed east hikes each day. It was such a beautiful peaceful weekend at this house. Easy and short drive to the main road and the lake shore Perfectly situated away from all the crazy crowds that summer weekends in Tahoe can bring.
Worst experience. You will be sharing the home with strangers
Not safe. You will be sharing the home with strangers. They will tell you other wise but the owner lies. The pictures and property is not the same. The owner has false pictures. They will threaten you with extra charges.

Please read my reviews. In twenty years no one else has said the pictures are fake and no one else has been confused about which cabin they rented. Just because people are living in a house next to you shouldn’t make you feel unsafe. The Guest Cabin is about as close to the Main Cabin as houses are in a subdivision.
Davit rented the Main Cabin which is a Chalet. The final letter said “The Guest cabin is the one-story unit located in front of the driveway. The main cabin is on your left. The Guest Cabin is in front of the driveway and may be rented during your stay.” There’s a photo showing both cabins, and the Guest Cabin is mentioned in multiple places on the website. Davit’s group used both cabins. Both cabins have digital locks which have different codes.
When my housekeeper arrived in the morning to turn on the heat and water for the next guests, she was surprised to find people in both cabins since only the Chalet was rented. She knocked on the Guest Cabin door and told them why she was there. They denied her access so she called me. I called their cell phone, and the landlines in both cabins and left messages. No one picked up so I called Vrbo for advice. The agent said to call again and that I should charge them for cleaning and the rent of one day since guests spent the night in a cabin they didn’t rent.
We had booked this property for 33 days to get away from some of the heat and humidity of our hometown, New Orleans. As soon as we entered the house we knew we had made a great choice. We immediately felt at home. The property was extremely clean and the furniture was very nice and comfortable, For a rental, we were very surprised at how well it was stocked. We did not have to buy detergent, softner, dishwashing soap, etc. Communication with the owner and was quick and helpful. The location is great as it is at the end of a deadend street, so very quiet. A nice walking path is right at the edge of the property. We even got to see a couple of bears, one with her cub. The deck was our place for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. We would definitely consider this property again I would not change anything about our visit, except that we could stay longer.

Well appointed home with large parking area right off hwy 89
Really enjoyed our 4 day stay! Nice location right off highway 89. Last home on street and is perfect for people with children. Pretty, updated kitchen with great stove, oven and cookware and utensils and granite counter tops. Loved the large outside deck and extra chairs. Bedrooms are all a nice size. 2 downstairs and a loft and master bedroom upstairs. The loft bed sleeps 2 small children or 1 adult. Plenty of additional room on the floor in the loft area. Located near Obexer's for boat or Sea Doo launching. Located 7 or 8 minutes south on 89 to Meek's Bay and about 15 + minutes south to D.L. Bliss State Park. Get to Meek's Bay or D.L. Bliss by 11:00 a.m. on summer days for easy parking and beach access. Home is very comfortable and the owners are easy to work with. The home felt comfortable. Would definitely come back again.

About the host
Hosted by Kathleen (Kitty) Travnikoff or Lloyd Travnikoff
Lloyd is a retired General Contractor. Kitty is a retired primary teacher. We have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. We have been hosts for 15 years. We like it when guests have a great time and share that information with us.
Why they chose this property
I'm from Wisconsin and like to see snow a few times a year. We used to visit Tahoe before we built our cabin. Lloyd was working on a Safeway when I found our lots. We liked the area because it offered summer and winter sports that we liked. Tahoe is 2 hours away for us so a quick weekend getaway is possible. We like to go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, bike riding and gambling. Tahoe fits the bill.
What makes this property unique
I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors. We own our side of the block and the neighbor across from us owns the whole block and his house faces the other street. Our cabin is at the end of our street and backs up to a greenbelt. This gives easy access to hiking and sledding. More hiking & biking trails start at the end of Gray Ave. I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors.
