About Kathleen Travnikoff
Lloyd is a retired General Contractor. Kitty is a retired primary teacher. We have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
Kathleen Travnikoff purchased this Cabin in 1984
Why Kathleen Travnikoff chose Tahoma
I'm from Wisconsin and like to see snow a few times a year. We used to visit Tahoe before we built our cabin. Lloyd was working on a Safeway when I found our lots. We liked the area because it offered summer and winter sports that we liked. Tahoe is 2 hours away for us so a quick weekend getaway is possible. We like to go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, bike riding and gambling. Tahoe fits the bill.
What makes this Cabin unique
I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors. We own our side of the block and the neighbor across from us owns the whole block and his house faces the other street. Our cabin is at the end of our street and backs up to a greenbelt. This gives easy access to hiking and sledding. More hiking & biking trails start at the end of Gray Ave. I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors.

This cabin home was very well stocked with everything we needed. Great lay out and location. There is a hiking trail just off the property.
We had a great time!
We love that it is on a cul de sac and is so quiet. Everything was great and we had a wonderful time. The refrigerator needs to be looked at though, as it is very hard to close. Our son in law said it's something about underneath the door.
We would recommend this home to all friends and family. It is very conducive to having people over for dinner and drinks or to even stay a night or two.
We were sorry to have to leave!!!
Great family vacation home
The cabin was perfect! We had 3 adult couples and the bedrooms/beds/bathrooms set up worked out great. The cabin is very well stocked with linens, dishes, hangers in the closets (YAY) and surprisingly baby items. We had our 6 month old grandson with us and forgot to bring any type of high chair and we're excited when we saw the cabin provided one. Arrival and departure instructions were very easy to follow and the owner responded to emails in a timely manner.
Thank you for the great review!
Wonderful location, heaven at Lake Tahoe!
One of the few (maybe the only) properties that mirror the description at HomeAway. Clean, well organized rental. Everything was in working order. The kitchen had everything needed. We stayed a month and our only issue was that we couldn’t initially get connected to the internet. The issue was resolved immediately!
Thanks so much for the great review. We're glad you had a good time.
Beautiful home right next to Homewood Ski Resort, where we were going for a ski weekend.
Some confusion about the two houses (had I read the instructions more carefully, there would have been no confusion). Great house, great location, everything was the best! We had a blast!
Great home in a perfect location!
This home has all the amenities you will need from cooking to sleeping to just lounging around after a full day of skiing. Plenty of room for all and nicely heated. The house is at the end of the street so it is quiet and peaceful and the neighbors are great too! Homewood is literally 5 minutes down the road and only about 20 minutes to Squaw.
Paddlewheel boat at 800 238 2463. We have a binder that lists activities with phone number and some flyers. Tahoe has hundreds of activities for those who enjoy nature. It is close to many unique shops and dining. Reno and South Shore offer entertainment for concerts and gambling.
