About this property
Stoneybrook House - historic property on 1.7 acres of land
Welcome to Stoney Brook House, 150 years old in 2010. This historic landmark is located just across Highway Three from the Village of Chester and, as such, is convenient to all the amenities yet cloistered and quiet. Indeed, at night, all you will hear is the sound of a brook running from Stanford Lake. You will be located on a property that has served as a private home, as a barracks for visiting servicemen and, until the mid-1990s, as a small, elegant B &B.
The Stoneybrook house is ideal for children and pets, as there are 1.7 acres of land to run around on. The house comes fully furnished, with a cozy fireplace, and even an old piano if you feel musical.
Walk to water in three minutes, to the center of town in five. Set back off the road for greater privacy.

About the host
Hosted by William Page
I have been coming to Chester since I was 12, and try to spend as much time there as possible. I simply cannot imagine a better place to spend my summers.
Why they chose this property
Many years ago, one very pleasant summer staying on Queen St. led to an unparalleled love of Chester. I know of nowhere else like it. This property, with its large lawn and beautiful brook proved to be exactly the place I wanted for my family vacations. We have room to spare and invite friends and their families to enjoy the property.
What makes this property unique
The Stoneybrook house has history, charm, and all the comforts you would expect in a modern rental home. An addition was added 15 years ago, expanding the first floor dramatically, and adding a fireplace. This property is set apart from many Chester rentals due to the large lawn and excellent well. The front porch was recently rebuilt, and a deck by the brook was added. The inside of the house has been recently renovated, and has all the comforts you might hope for. This property is more than a rental, it is my second home.
