Entirely renovated and outfitted for multiple families, The Nest Lake Michigan is the perfect place for your next escape from the ordinary. Convenient to all the adorable beach towns of SW Michigan, and 90 mins from Chicago, but you'll never want to leave. The grounds feature a heated pool, hot tub, unrivaled outdoor kitchen, games, toys, books, and all the luxury amenities you want. Pedal 12 minutes to the nearest beach access, or drive 12 mins N to St. Joe's, or 8 mins S to Warren Dunes.

Set on a peaceful wooded acre, the retreat is located west of Red Arrow highway and just a 12 minute bike ride to the nearest beach access. Situated just north of Harbor Country and minutes from the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail, the home is equidistant to Silver Beach/St. Joseph's and Warren Dunes State Park. Nature abounds as we are also a stone's throw from Grand Mere State Park where you can go on a leisurely or active hike and enjoy the beach.

A circular drive + full driveway leading to a 2 car garage provide parking for as many as needed. One garage space is available for guests to park, as the rest of the space is stocked with seasonal toys for your use -- everything from 4 adult bikes, 2 children's bikes, a Burley double bike trailer, to beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler and sand toys are provided. Take up an evening game of hoops on the basketball court out front. Sneak in a game of bocce in the backyard while the Chef of the group cooks dinner on the 48" built in grill while the kids play in the brand new heated pool. Good thing you've stopped at the Farm Stand on the way home, as there is a 48" Kitchen Aid Range with griddle, Gagenaeu steamer, pot filler, beverage cooler, 3 sinks for prep and 2 dishwashers to make chores a little less ... choreful on vacation. That's in addition to the large, covered outdoor kitchen with range, dishwasher, ice maker, prep sink and bountiful counter space. There is plenty to entertain the young and young at heart in the home, including a retro arcade, dart board, 6 TV's with ROKU in guest mode so you can log onto your own subscriptions and not have to remember to log out when you reluctantly have to leave.

AWESOME HOUSE!

This was my first VRBO experience and Mari was so patient and helpful with all of my questions and requests! We were in town for my son’s wedding, and traveling with a 4-week old granddaughter, my other two children and their spouses… the house was comfortable for all, very nicely decorated and had everything you could ever want or need! The backyard was perfect for a barbecue, even in the rain. Mari, thank you for a very wonderful and memorable stay!!!

Best Bach

The Nest was the PERFECT place to host the most special girl's weekend. The house has PLENTY of space and bathrooms to accommodate all guests. The location is perfect. The backyard is amazing between the outdoor dining, new pool, firepit and hot tub. Everything we could have asked for. Mari even left us some nice champagne and beautiful charcuterie board to kick off the weekend. Thanks again!

Fantastic host and house!!!

We stayed here for a long weekend with friends - very nice woodsy feel to it with a great new heated pool! Very clean and spacious and the kitchen is Stocked with everything you will need to stay a weekend with little kids! Mari was such a generous and accommodating host - really appreciate her responsiveness! She even made us a huge welcoming charcuterie board. Would stay here again!

Family Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. Mari went above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way from everyday essentials to bikes and toys for infants on up. It was a beautiful home and the pool was a big hit. Our 5 year old grandson said we should come back to this house again! I would definitely recommend this home to families looking to make some great memories!

We couldn't have had a better stay! Mari was so quick to answer any and all questions we had leading up to and during our stay. The house is so beautiful. From the beach toys, bikes, pool toys... Every corner you look and they have thought of everything to make your stay as easy as possible. We can't wait to go back!

Hi, I'm Mari. I enjoy interior design, street festivals, reading, being outdoors and anything relating to the water. I could float in a pool, lake or ocean all day if I had the opportunity. Which is rare, considering I'm a stay at home parent to three incredible human beings - a preschooler, a toddler and a one year old.

My idea of an amazing vacation with friends is sleeping in, and then taking on an adventure activity like hiking or kayaking. My perfect family trip means having a great space for the kids to play, a well equipped kitchen to cook meals, and going on a low key outing like biking, visiting the beach, playground or nearby woods.

We try to replicate what we look for when we travel into our spaces. I love hosting and look forward to sharing our Nest with you. I'll do my best to make your stay comfortable and provide the amenities to make traveling a little bit easier.
