Lovely house with excellent views of the ocean from every room. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking meals or if you don't want to cook anything the location of the house isn't far from some restaurants. Outstanding beach for snorkeling and collecting sand dollars (best at low tide).
All found snorkeling right in front of the house.

This property was more lovely in person than the pictures could ever portray. We had an amazing, relaxing stay. The outside of the house was as stunning as the inside and the views are indescribable. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

Realistically, the pics don't do the house justice. The views are incredible. There's a total of one neighbor that isn't super close. So the effect is a very private escape with unibstructed views on an incredible 3/4 mile beach with nobody on it. Crazy.

Great Getaway

Another great stay

This was our second time staying at Ron's home, and it was just as amazing as our first time. The views here are incredible. The landscaping around the home is beautiful and well taken care of, and Nancy has the house super clean and inviting for your arrival. We enjoyed our week here immensely and look forward to returning. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful space.

Fantastic view

Overall I would rent here again. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. Pros amazing view and an awesome beach Cons could not get internet to work very low water pressure

Lochabar Stay

We’ve been to the Bahamas many times but this house was our favorite. Fully stocked with all we needed. Beautiful bay and view. Lots to do or not do. Very comfortable. Will come again.

Peace and relaxation

My husband is a dual citizen of the Bahamas and the United States. We come back to Long Island at least once a year. We adored the house, the location, and the view and we will without a doubt be planning our future stays on Long Island at this home.

Beautiful and Peaceful Vacation

The pictures do not do this property justice. Actually I don’t think pictures can do this location justice. It’s beautiful. The owner has done an amazing job of creating an inviting environment. If you’re looking for a remote, low key place to rest, relax and enjoy the beauty of an out island, this is your place.

Just as the pictures suggest

My wife and I visited for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The house is exceptionally clean, Nancy the house manager was easily accessible and knowledgeable. The property had everything we needed and more. If you are looking to decompress, this is an excellent house to do just that. We visited for the first two weeks in November and had only seen 1 person on the beach during our entire stay. Restaurants, pubs, the bakery and grocery stores are all nearby. We will be back for certain.

A tropical paradise

The house was just perfect, with everything you need. Cozy house, and beautiful Lochabar beach just 100 yards down a tropical sand path from the house. Ron will guide you though car rentals or help make arrangements to have some pick you up or take you to the airport. If a quiet place, serenity and just the sound of the surf, birds, and the gentle breezes through the coconut trees is your thing, I’d recommend his house. We’re hoping to do again next year, ..just stay longer.

Relaxing

Great stay overall. We went on a down time of the island so we didn't see anyone on the beach at all! Location was great, beach was great, snorkeling wasn't much to see until you ventured out closer to the little islands and/or the blue hole near the house. Did see a shark while snorkeling though...that was a little scary but cool. For sure, use the kayaks to go to the little islands in front of the house at low tide...lots to see and really cool at low tide. House was exactly as advertised and very comfortable. Long Island was as well.

Everything we were looking for

Ron's home is well appointed with a well outfitted kitchen and gas grill. Great grocery availability on the island. One of our party had food allergies so we prepared all by two meals at the house. The deck facing the ocean was our favorite place for morning coffee as we planned our day. The screened porch at the back was lovely in the evenings providing refuge from the no-see-ums that often make after dark grilling a challenge. We used they kayaks almost daily with lots to explore in the nearby bay, lagoons and Hell's Gate. Lovely property, thanks for sharing it with us Ron!
