Johnson is in the center of Lamoille County, in the valley of the Lamoille River, with the Green Mountains rising to the north and the south of the river. The village of Johnson is in the center of the town, where the Gihon River joins the Lamoille from the northeast. Vermont Route 15 crosses the center of the town, following the Lamoille River; the highway leads southeast 5 miles (8 km) to Hyde Park, the Lamoille County shire town, and west 9 miles (14 km) to Jeffersonville in the town of Cambridge. Vermont Route 100C leads northeast from Johnson village 4.5 miles (7.2 km) to Vermont Route 100 in North Hyde Park.

After 35 years of vacations for my husband and I, this was our first vacation not camping. We couldn't have more pleased with the Buck Rub cabin. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was the most relaxing vacation that we have ever had. The host was a hop skip and a jump from the cabins. The cabin was fully equipped with everything you would need. We ever had 3 female juvenile hummingbirds for our stay.Hour drive to the places in and around Burlington. As well as supermarkets and restaurants near by. We have re-booked for next year for 2 weeks. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

This snug yet spacious get away has a great kitchen with lots of extras. The TV offers a wide range of apps for movies and sports and is easy to use. Sleeping in quiet woods was perfect for us. Christine is very welcoming and we loved her elf decor. The area offers a wide range of outdoor activities for all seasons. In short we loved our visit!
