Comfortable, clean house with great communication. This is our second time staying at this property & enjoyed the open space and peace and quiet. Itā€™s very close to the lake and has boat parking on the street. We did not use the pool or hot tub since we were on the lake every dayā€¦ but both amenities were clean and inviting. I highly recommend this property for a family getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at kokanee kottage. The home was comfy and clean! The pool was so relaxing, refreshing, and the water was very clean and maintained. We appreciated the hosts and their kindness and understanding. It definitely felt like they were hosts and not just people who were renting their property out. They communicated quickly and clearly. Definitely recommend this place if you are staying in the Redding area.

We stayed in early August 2026. Shasta Lake was goign through a major heat wave then. The pool was the only respite! The house itself was beautiful. It could have been stocked better with basic necessities like salt. The appliances were a little outdated but functional. The above ground pool was safe.. especially for little kids. The game room is in the garage which does not have AC. So it got incredibly hot owing to the heat wave.. but that still didnt stop my kids from enjoying the vintage nintendo. All in all, we had a very good time and would definitely consider staying there again.

The communication with the host was top notch. They were available at all times. The hot tub was wonderful after biking all day. The home itself was in a nice, quiet and private location. We enjoyed the trees and the screened in porch dining. Although minimal, the kitchen had needed items. Bedrooms were very nice; however one had a much smaller bed, which we thought was to be a king when we rented. The place was very clean and the piano was wonderful for my daughter to play. It was locked, but with immediacy, became available by the hosts for us to operate. The picture of the pool was not real telling. It is located a bit from the home, although my family truly enjoyed it. Nice place, quiet, good family visit.

Great, peaceful property

This was such a great location for a family getaway out of the city. Surrounded by trees, the property is tucked away from neighbors but close to the lake and stores/restaurants.

This is the 2nd year we stayed. It was very comfortable and well stocked. Hosts are friendly and communicative. A short drive to Bridge Bay and thereā€™s a nice market in town. We had no issues!

Family vacation

My brother and I had both our families staying for a vacation in the Shasta region. Very nice place, quiet, clean, spacious. The pool was great for these hot days, and the location is central which allowed us to discover Shasta Lake, Mt Shasta, Lassen park. Would certainly come back if we plan another trip in the region.

Stunningly Perfect

The house was gorgeous, very clean, so many outdoor options or just relaxing watching a movie. We had the best time celebrating my Husbandā€™s 40th birthday. Will definitely rent this place again.

Beautiful and peaceful property

This house was perfect for our stay. We used the hot tub a bunch :) Easy access to Lake Shasta and the 5. We traveled up to the Shasta Ski Park, out to Weaverville and drove around Redding. The only unfortunate thing was the rainy weather. We will be back and would love to stay at Kokanee Grove again.

A great time hanging out at Kokanee Grove

I would highly recommend staying here! The house was great, clean and smelled nice. We enjoyed the pool, hanging out in the large living room and the game room was a fun bonus. Its close driving distance to Lake Shasta and we also explored WhiskeyTown Recreation Area. The host was quick and responsive to any questions we had.

House and Rooms were clean and a good setup for adults. It had a game room for kids including a PlayStation type of video game system. Open kitchen and front room were great for socializing. It's advertised as secluded and it is, except there is a separate house right next to this one on the property. We never or heard saw the tenants there so they were very quiet and respectful but it isn't totally isolated. I would stay here again, It had all amenities although we never used the pool or the TV, Hot tub worked perfect.

Great Place 10 min from the launch rap

Place was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Communicated with the host throughout who was very friendly. We were here for boating and rented an inexpensive slip at Bridge Bay for the week which worked out great. There is a Dollar General and small market near the property where we could restock up as needed.

Relaxing and spacious

The host was understanding and helpful, the home is well appointed and it was lovely soaking at night. We made the mistake of thinking we were booking closer to Mount Shasta so had long drives since it was a ski trip, so next time we will be more careful. It was a good spot for family and friends to cook together and relax in a comfortable neighborhood and spacious home. Thank you!

Good house and location for group trip

The location and size of the house was great. There are many toys and activities for all ages. It was close to Shasta Lake, Caverns, hiking, and Redding. There fires and smoke in area, but this is not the fault of the hosts. Just bad luck. I would come here again.
