Had a blast! The pool and hot tub were used daily, the house had plenty of room for 11 of us, and the host was quick to reply when anything came up!

The hot tube and pool were excellent!The views are amazing from the upstairs master bed room. The sun rises are just amazing to view from the upper deck. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Awesome time with friends in a very accommodating OBX home

We had a great time in this home that had all the accommodations we needed with the heated inground pool, hot tub, beachfront property with beautiful views, plenty of dining room seating and close proximity to tourist attractions. We also had a fire pit on the beach. Owners were very prompt to respond to our questions and minimal needs.

Looney Dunes property was just as described. The ocean was beautiful, although cold in May. We were a family of nine, ranging in age from 79 to 16 and there was something for everyone. Our teenagers very much enjoyed the theater room. The pool and the hot tub were hits as well. We opted to have the pool heated, and I am glad that we did. I would recommend staying here for your next destination.

Property was as described and as pictures represent. Plenty of beds, baths and space to accommodate our family. Wonderful hot tub, pool and access to beach. Would have liked to get a heads up with the dryer being down as the repair man came late in the week. A bit of outdoor and indoor TLC would make this property even better. Bring beach towels as none are provided. The movie room was a big hit as well. Thanks for the wonderful location to make some meaningful family memories.

Really enjoyed my second year staying at The Looney dunes house. The weather could have been better, but we found other things to occupy our time like shopping & eating out.

The property was great! Eight older women enjoyed each having their own bedroom & bathroom. Ate in 5 of the 7 nights and the kitchen was equipped with everything that was needed. We also ate at some nice places, Hatteras Sol Restaurant & Good Winds Restaurant. Would have liked better weather as we are all sun worshipers. We paid to have the pool heated but didn’t really use the pool much!

House and property were clean and well maintained. The house was responsive, and the property appeared as it did in the photos. The location was peaceful and a convenient location for easy beach access. Using the public access is recommended, as the beaten down pathways over the dune isn’t great for children or people with limited mobility.

The house is huge, and the steps are many. The bedrooms are large and roomy. It was really nice sitting on the back decks and listening to the waves crash onto the beach, which you have easy access to the beach from the house. Perfect view of the sun rising.

Amazing trip, great location!

Beautiful beach house! Beach access over the dune is super close. Host was very responsive and made sure we loved our vacation. The pool and hot tub were perfect to still enjoy the weather, especially for the windy days. The decks were perfect for sunrise coffee and relaxing. You can tell the owners really care and want you to enjoy your stay.

We really enjoyed our week at Looney Dunes to Celebrate My 70th Birthday and Easter Weekend!

The House met all our expectations. It had enough bathroom and bedrooms to accommodate 17 of my Kids, spouses& grandkids. The pool and Hot tub were great too. We loved walking the short distance to the beach everyday and collecting shells on the beach. The two outdoor showers were amazing after coming back from the beach. My grandkids loved the movie room to watch movies at night. All in all, it was an Amazing Week!

Really nice overall, but some of the pics are a little misleading. Furniture is a bit worn. Owner was always available when I messaged him and got back to me in a timely manner.

Great family gathering vacation

Great house for large family gathering- we had 3 families with 6 young kids and 2 teenagers. The home accommodates this easily with access to a variety of recreational activities. Very easy access to the ocean side. There were beach chairs and boogie boards already at the home, although we brought our own. Pool and hot tub were also a hit. We ate at the house so I cannot comment on local restaurants, but the house had all the essentials and more for cooking and storing leftovers. We had a problem with the washing machine, but the management team was very responsive and fixed the problem very quickly. All in all a fabulous week.

Perfect house for what we needed

We chose this house because we weren't sure of the weather in October. The movie theater room was a big hit with all the kids, and the pool table was a hit for the adults. We loved having bedrooms and bathrooms on all the floors, and the kids loved staying together in the bunk bedroom. The walk to the beach was a breeze, and it was nice to be able to have our own pool since the waves were pretty wild while we were there. Communication and check-in/out were a breeze. Dollar General and Waves Market and Deli are right up the road, which came in handy. It was a great experience.
