House was perfect location for our son’s wedding at Emerson Park. Very roomy for a large number of guests. Kids enjoyed the lake. Good for all ages from 4 to 92 years old.
The house was beautiful location is amazing ! Owner was very welcoming making sure we were enjoying our stay , definitely would stay here again . Sitting on the huge porch facing the lake with light breeze was amazing
We had a good and pleasant stay overall. We truly appreciated the experience. However, we need to bring one crucial safety issue to your attention: there is a significant pothole at the end of the driveway, immediately beside the main road, on the right side. This gutter is difficult to see from a vehicle. Driving over it causes a significant jolt or bounce to passengers, creating discomfort, especially for kids and pregnant women, and also poses a genuine risk of damage to a car's tire or suspension. We would strongly recommend that the property owner place a highly visible marker/warning sign to alert incoming and outgoing drivers. Addressing this would greatly improve guest safety.
We stayed here Labor Day weekend with a group of 12 people. The location is great and the house has lots of room inside and outside. The owner is working to update the house and it is evident throughout the house. They were very responsive to questions and we would definitely stay here again.
We came to watch our boys in a hockey tournament. They were staying with the team in a hotel so we decided last year. To rent this house and couldn't be happier with the accaccommodations of John and Jamie. Great place. this property and t
We stayed one night for my daughter's 16 birthday. She did shopping and dinner in Skaneateles with friends, and then back to the property to hang out for the evening/night! There were 11 of us total and the house provided LOTS of room and choices for sleeping accommodations! Its a HUGE place with lots of room and easy access to Owasco Lake (right across street) or a short drive to Skaneateles! Its a fun property!
We had a fantastic stay here as basecamp for our wedding weekend. The proximity to Emerson Park was convenience itself, but beyond that, the house was a beautiful place for getting ready photos, and a great hangout spot for our group the night before the wedding. The wraparound porch was heaven on a late spring evening and I wish we could have stayed longer. The numbers of beds and baths was enough for our group of 12. We even had enough space for waltz practice :)
The host was extremely communicative and kindly accommodated an early check-in. I would recommend this home to anyone.
This was our 2nd year staying in this beautiful home. Overall, an excellent vacation for our family. Communication with the host was excellent, the beds are comfortable. 2 minor concerns, new batteries were needed for a smoke alarm and were unavailable, and the kitchen knives need to be sharpened.
Cool, quirky, large clean house, in a great location. Bring water shoes if you want to go in the lake. House needs a little TLC which the owner indicated they would address. My friends and family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The front porch is a great spot to hangout and was very popular with our group.
Had a great time celebrating my sons wedding. Location to the Emerson Oark venue is incredible. House was very clean & the owners couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend this property.
Our family reunion in Auburn was amazing in this big beautiful house with a spacious yard and easy lake access. Everything was just as promised and the landlord couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Nine adults and three kids had plenty of room to enjoy our family meals and activities. The kitchen is very large and meal prep was a lot of fun. There was plenty of bedroom space and a few bonus rooms for people to sit and enjoy a bit of relaxing time away from the bustle.
6 of us retired ladies stayed for 2 nights to explore the area. It was a wonderful house for us all to stay. Lots of room for us to spread out if we wanted to, and plenty of space for us to do a puzzle and play cards at night. It was close to everything that we wanted to see. Easy to get to. The views out the front windows of the lake were fabulous!
Charming Lakefront Home – Perfect for Family Gatherings
We stayed at this spacious and charming home to celebrate my son's graduation from Syracuse University, and it was the perfect choice. With nine of us in the group, the house had more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax comfortably. It’s an older home full of character, which means it comes with a few quirks—like some sticky kitchen drawers and smaller showers—but nothing that took away from the overall comfort and cleanliness of the space. The highlight was definitely the location. The house faces a beautiful lake, offering stunning views throughout the day. Just a short walk down the road is a lovely park, perfect for morning strolls or evening relaxation. Plus, it’s very close to Skaneateles, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with plenty of room for a group, this home is a great choice. We’d absolutely recommend it!
My 2nd time staying at this house and absolutely love it! The spacious layout on the first floor, the huge bedrooms, the view of the lake!! Definitely recommend
We stayed at this gorgeous lake home for 4 nights at the end of August 2024. It was perfect for our whole family including all the grandkids. Our 6 year old grandson said “it would have been really perfect if there were kitties”. We rented a boat from Owasco Marina.
I would advise that you bring your own toiletries, only hand soap was provided. Also, if you want separate towels for the beach, bring your own.
The current instruction manual is outdated, it lists a previous owner, so follow the email instructions.
There is a fire pit, but the wood was not split or aged well.
Other than the above minor inconveniences, it was a perfect week.
The house was huge and the lake was amazing for wading in on hot days. The house has a few quirky elements as many old houses do (lots of doors, lots of light switches) but the place was perfect for our family attending a our sons wedding at Emerson park. The front porch was amazing…we just
