About this property

Stunning private oceanfront home

Take in the glistening ocean view of the Penobscot Bay as you drink your coffee from the deck, and watch distant lobster boats as they haul in their catch. Prepare breakfast in the stunning and bright kitchen before heading out to explore Deer Isle's spectacular nature trails and beaches. Pop into Stonington's historic fishing town for a bite to eat or take in the colorful boats at the harbor. For some fun on the water, grab a kayak and paddle to the many islands dotted in the waters around the island or head a little further for a hike in the world renowned Acadia National Park. Head back to the tranquil setting of this beautiful home and watch as the sun sets over bay and beyond over the Camden Hills to the west. Enjoy dinner out on the deck, or at one of Deer Isle's gourmet restaurants then cosy up at home in front of a log fire.

Oceanfront hideaway
This is a clean (fairly new build), spacious and lovely home overlooking a rocky oceanfront outcrop. We appreciated the large kitchen for our family of nine, where we prepared a great lobster dinner from the local fish market’s fresh seafood. The bathrooms were large, and the Frette towels were a treat. 1.5 hours from Bangor airport and about the same distance to Acadia National Park. Remote and very private location.

Perfect
It is a beautiful home perfect for large families. Beautiful space inside and out. Our grandkids loved climbing on the rocks at the waters edge. Great home to gather with family.

Heavenly
We were delighted with our magical place. It was spacious and worked beautifully in the rainy weather as well as the sunny. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals for six. There were plenty of linens. The fireplace made it cozy when it was cool and the screened windows and doors allowed for nice ventilation when it was warm. Every room looked out on the water and the deck allowed us to sit outside. There was a nice market nearby, within walking distance, where we found quite adequate supplies for dining and also picked up things we needed such as ground coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, and bar soap. As mentioned previously there were no curtains or shades on the windows but it didn’t matter as we enjoyed rising with the sun. We loved the short walk down to the waters edge where sunset was spectacularly beautiful. The internet and televisions worked perfectly for us. It was indeed a heavenly experience and we hope we can return next year and maybe even the following years. We feel full of gratitude.

Perfect spot to watch a meteor shower
We came to surprise my mom by taking her here for her 70th birthday. The home was clean, absolutely beautiful, and our host was friendly to respond to our questions. The island in the kitchen and open concept was perfeft for our family gathering. Also the views were stunning if the ocean. Highly recommend

Family vacation
There was no key in the lock box and we had to go under the house with directions to climb up into the house to get in after traveling for many hours; thankfully she answered our call and directed us on what to do. There was no ice or ability to make ice, so we had to buy it throughout our stay. It was warm and either we had to use a heavy duvet, or nothing at all and some in our party weren’t comfortable. There were no blinds in the bedrooms so it was very bright early in the morning, and the master was the only one with shades, but the large window overlooking the ocean had no view because that only shade is broken. The wine cooler doesn’t work. The grill was great, the location is absolutely beautiful, and overall the house is quite beautiful. It is an expensive stay to have things broken, and that was our main complaint, but we loved the island and the town, and Acadia is fabulous. The hiking on the island is also great. The internet is extremely slow; doesn’t support any work on a computer, and we could not sign in to watch any streaming TV on our own services. Overall, we made the best of it and when the weather was good we were hiking and outdoors, but we had a couple days of solid rain- we cooked together and worked on puzzles but those were our only options on those days at the house. The location is wonderful, but the neighbors also made sure we did not walk on the rocks or beach near their places - they yelled at us that it is private along the shore.
