This adorable and authentic tiny log cabin, hand built from timber from the surrounding land has been a family retreat for generations. This rustic cabin is 450 sqft of coziness, with a full kitchen, gas stove, iron clawfoot tub, and beautiful views.
Half a mile up the ridge line from the shores of Superior, minutes from dozens of North Shore attractions, make this Cabin your home base for an amazing North Shore Adventure.

This cozy family getaway includes 1 Bedroom, with a custom queen bed built into the double window with nighttime star views, a twin-sized bed loft, the perfect escape for the kiddo.
There is also a couch and a window bench in the living room that can sleep two more people in a pinch.
The bathroom includes a beautiful iron clawfoot tub and an instant unlimited hot water heater for your all-night bath pleasure.
The full kitchen includes a four-burner stainless steel gas stove, stainless fridge, and a folding dining table that can seat as many as 6! You also have access to a 4 burner propane grill outside.

Time Away to Refresh

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at this little cabin. We saw some wonderful sunrises from the picture window, watched grouse and deer eat the crab apples and enjoyed some mighty fine cooking in the fully furnished kitchen. This is a place we will definitely want to return to in the future.

Everything we wanted

This property is such a treat -- remote and mindful of sustainability, and yet tricked out with technology and thoughtful comforts. We loved our stay; this cabin is perfect for a couple with a dog. Thanks to the hosts for quick responses to our questions.

Cute little cabin!

We needed a quiet weekend away before some heavy work weeks ahead. This was a perfect setting. Close to many parks/ trails. All the creature comforts. Nice little home away from home!

Wonderful Stay

This cabin has everything we needed for a family of 4 and our dog. The owner was prompt and polite in their responses. The snacks/s’more kit was a nice touch as well. Close proximity to all the things we love best about the North Shore. Thanks for a great stay at your cabin!

Kathryn and Elam have been Short Term Rental hosts since 2010, we purchased this 1900's hand-built log cabin in 2020 to lived there for a year while renovating it and turning it into the perfect family getaway. We now use it as our North Shore retreat and share it with others when we're not staying there.
