The Petit Retreat may be close to everything in Sister Bay, but the quiet neighborhood and wildlife sightings from the front windows make you feel like you're nestled in the woods. Our cottage is great for families or groups of adults looking to comfortably share space. Set back from the road with a big front yard, fenced in backyard and lots of room to play, the outside of the cottage is almost as cozy as the inside!

When you want to get out and explore the Northern Door you'll find that our location is perfectly centrally located - 1 minute (or a short walk) from Northern Haus, Carroll House, Peach Barn and Pirates Cove, 2 minutes from great shopping, live music and delicious food in downtown Sister Bay, 2 minutes from Sister Bay's Pebble Beach, 5 minutes from Ephraim, 11 minutes from Baileys Harbor or Ellison Bay and 15 minutes to Peninsula State Park. Sister Bay Shuttle Bus also picks up from Peach Barn Th-Su 5p-2a; find more details on the Sister Bay website.

The Petit Retreat sleeps 6 comfortably (3 bedrooms, each equipped with new, quiet and efficient window ACs) and includes 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room and loft (includes a working space with extra monitor). Additionally, we have a fire pit/chiminea, outdoor dining table, kids play set, and plenty of lighting to enjoy the outdoors in the evening. (Please note: For your safety and ours, the property has security cameras on the exterior of the building. There is one above each exterior door and one above the garage). Finally, we are always improving our cottage and strive to provide a 5 star experience, if you have any questions please reach out and we will do our best to answer them.

Great home just as pictures show

We had a fantastic girls weekend at the Petit Retreat. The property is on a sizable wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood. The spacious house is everything you would want in a rental house. Very comfortable beds and linens. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone. Host was very responsive with communication.

Wedding weekend

Attended a family wedding a very short drive down the road at Northern Haus so the location was super convenient. Also super close to Piggly Wiggly and not far from downtown Sister Bay. The house was clean and beds comfy! We did not do any cooking so I can't comment on kitchen supplies but we had plenty of space. Outdoor area is cute although we did not use that either. Communication with the host was great, very responsive.

Why they chose this property

The Petit Retreat is truly a dream come to life. The location is perfect. Our family loves to walk whenever we can and the walk from our cottage to all of the fun activities, shopping and great food in Sister Bay is 15 minutes or less. Plus, the big yard outside and open concept living inside allow for lots of room to run and play and then cozy up together at night.
