Resort communities of Voyager Village, Siren, Spooner, Webb Lake and Hayward are short drives and offer many activities including golf, shopping, casino, restaurants and more. We’ve enjoyed exploring the area and have a few favorites to share: Round Man Brewing in Spooner, burgers at Sandbar on 70 or The Roundabout in Webster & Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream at Silly Bird Canteen in Siren. We also love the Burnett Dairy Cooperative in Grantsburg and the seasonal Burnett county Farmer’s Market in Siren. Wineries in the area are Clover Meadow Winery and Spirit Creek Vineyard.

Other local recommendations include What the Heck for pizza in Spooner, Zia's Pizza in Webster, The Still Bar and Grill in Spooner and McKenzie Landing on Big McKenzie Lake. Voyager Village has a beautiful 18-hole golf course and Par 3 course. There is an airstrip there and it's a great place to go have breakfast and watch the airplanes fly in as well. They have a delicious restaurant also. Fox Run Golf in Webster is also a nice course. Jo Mamas has a good breakfast In Spooner. There is a casino right down the road for some grownup fun as well and we are close to ATV and snowmobile trails.

College graduation reunion, celebrating 55 years of friendship
This is a spacious, beautifully decorated & welcoming home with comfy beds and furniture. We found the kitchen to be spotless and well-equipped. We loved the outdoor seating, especially the deck for morning coffee and evening happy hour! We enjoyed some awesome meals at The Sand Bar on 70 (at the end of the driveway!) especially the Burgers, Walleye Sandwich and Prime Rib Sandwich. We spent a day and a half shopping in Siren and Spooner, lunching at Round Man Brewing. Mostly, we enjoyed relaxing in this peaceful setting (very minimal boat traffic), watching the eagles and geese, reading, chatting, and sometimes snoozing in the comfy loungers. It was perfect for celebrating the anniversary of our college graduation, and our 55 years of friendship.

Girls weekend
There were six of us. We had plenty of room. The place was very clean and beautiful views of the lake. Bonus was having kayaks and a bar/grill at the end of the driveway!!

Short get-away with family
The property was nice with a great view of Big Sand Lake. Our family enjoyed time on the lake and special time together with our newest baby granddaughter! Did a pontoon rental from Triple J. They were super great to work with and we were so happy to all be together on the boat! Beautiful area to visit & stay for our get-away!

Big Sand Lake WI
On the plus side, The cabin, actually a house, that we rented was very nice. Fairly new house. Well landscaped yard with beautiful plans etc. Nicely furnished interior. A dock on the lake in the back yard and a row boat as well as four kayaks that were available for us to use. On the minus side, A few days before the check-in date I was asked to pay my second installment of the total payment which I had already done one month ahead of the check-in date. Also on the day of us checking in we were first given the wrong address. This was, however, quickly resoled with a phone call.
