Time Flies is so close to town but feels remote! Experience the best of both worlds here. This "Mountain Modern" house is tucked away on the banks of the Tuckasegee River with a dirt road and the Smoky Mountain Railroad fronting the property. Guests enjoy watching the tourist train pass by, especially in November and December when it's decorated for the Polar Express! Old River road is also a great resource offering prime river access or take a leisure walk down the long dirt road. The house is also only about a mile away from Deep Creek, which is park of The Smoky Mountains National Park.
Getting around: Driving is our recommendation. Biking and walking to town are options. Be aware that there are not sidewalks between the house and town. However, people do walk this section along the side of the road. Traffic can be heavy along this stretch of road and the side of the road isn't well maintained.
1. There is gravel parking for two Standard sized car. One beside of the house and one in front of the house. No trailers allowed. 2. We do allow dogs for a fee. 2 dogs up to 50lbs each maximum. Please read and adhere to our pet rules while staying in our house. Once you add your dog(s) to the guest count, the pet fee will be displayed in the summary of charges. We have strick pet rules: No dogs on the furniture/bed(s) for any reason. No dogs running loose on our property. Pickup dog waste. Hair found on furniture or in linens will incur an addition charge beyond the pet fee. 3. The house has a full kitchen and almost everything you would need to prepare any meal. However, the kitchen is not stocked with condiments or supplies with the exception of a few spices and salt and pepper. 4. The sofa converts into a sleeper. It works well for 2 children or 1 adult. 5. There are two other vacation rental dwellings on this property. Each house has its own private outdoor space. 6. The Great Smoky Mountains railway runs in front of the property. This is a scenic tourist train that runs during the day/evening/early night and is a big reason why people visit Bryson City. It does not run during the night when people generally are sleeping.

Time flies is a beautiful vacation spot, with a view of the river right from the porch and nightlife right down the street it was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. The hot tub was relaxing and to be so close to the downtown area, night time was quiet and tranquil. I will definitely be booking this property again
Each year, we gift our girls and their husbands a weekend away. Lo and Nate said this was a great one! They enjoyed the location, the view, and the hot tub. Would recommend a stay!
Enjoyed the location. Just a short walk or drive into town. The Smoky Mtn Railroad wasn't running so was a lil disappointed I didn't get to see it go by. The bed wasn't as firm as I like but I made do. The hot tub was nice. I liked that you come right into the bathroom from the hot tub. The area was quiet and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching kayakers & people fishing. I would visit some of their properties again
Everything was great. Exactly what I expected, from the online listing. The place was perfectly clean. The communications we received regarding check in etc were thorough and extremely easy to understand. The location was great! Very secluded and also very easy and quick to get to town—we walked a couple times. There is easy access to the river to fish. The hot tub was great. It was a nice ending to a long day of hiking.
This is the cutest house. The location is perfect to visit the little town. Shower was strong, hot tub was warm, beds were comfortable and the view was so peaceful.
It was tbe perfect stay for a quick visit to the Polar Express! Easy check-in process and the home was just as described. We didn't stay long enough to use the kitchen or hot tub, but I wish we had. It is the cutest place on the river and with plenty of privacy! We would definitely stay again if we make our way back up to this area!
You feel like you’re in a secluded spot, but it’s just a short walk into town to nearby restaurants, shops and train depot. The house was well stocked, cozy and the perfect size!
We really enjoyed our stay at Time Flies on the River. Our visit to Bryson City was brief, but the home fit our needs. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The entire process from check in to check out was very easy. The home's location is ideally located very close to the downtown area. Would definitely stay at the home again when visiting the area.
We had an absolute perfect time at time flies… It’s such a perfect little cabin with everything that we needed and close to everything. I even had a great short visit with the lady who cleans the house and told her that we would leave the place in such a perfect condition that she probably wouldn’t even need to clean it. We would absolutely return!
Cabin was great and very clean. It had everything that we needed. Great location to town. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed it one evening. A little disappointed about the folage overgrowth as it blocked much of the river view.We would not deter that from staying again.
Great location, out of the way but close to town. Loved the view of the river and hills from the property. House was very clean and comfortable, a great place to stay. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to family and friends.

This area drew us here as teenagers where we "lived the good life" as white water rafting guides, kayakers and avid mountain bikers. I guess you could say, we kinda FOUND ourselves here and never left. What a grand adventure we embarked on all those years ago... one that led to lifelong friendships! Our children were born here and are close friends as well. This area has been good to us and for us. We work hard but also make time to LIV! After all, what do we have besides this moment?
