Located at Mile Marker 1 on the North Shore, Vista Del Lago is just 6 minutes from the Bagnell Dam, the strip, shopping, a wide variety of restaurants and bars. The Neon Taco is located directly across the lake. The HyVee, Wal-Mart, health care, and a wide variety of restaurants are within 15 mins or less!

Getting There
Ease of access via state highways and blacktop roads up to the drive of the Vista Del Lago. Just 3 hours from St. Louis and Kansas City and a half day drive from Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Arkansas you have great access for families to connect and gather. International airport is in Kansas City and regional airports are available in Columbia and Springfield.

Lake Haus

Had a great stay. This property is located close to great golf courses, which is why stayed here. All the amenities provided, including in-room Keurigs was great.

This was a nice property. Easy access to the house from lake and road. Close proximity to popular establishments. However, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the property as well as the upkeep. Many things on the dock and outside are unsafe and need to be updated. If you are planning to float or swim off the dock, take note that its on the main channel and is pretty rough.

We would be happy to address any cleaning issues as long as they are shared with us. The dock is inspected monthly for safety and upkeep. If there was anything in particular; we hope you might consider messaging us so we can better understand the concern. It is a main channel home - that's how we get those main channel views and amazing sunsets. There is a natural wave break from the surrounding condo community docks which is appreciated.

Overall, Nice place to stay, View is beautiful!

The online pics made the property appear to be more maintained than it is in reality. Bathroom is dirty and shower nozzle was broken on main level, Could have used a quick brooming to the exterior as there were cobwebs on windows, the decks were not very well maintained and the drive had debris a little bit of everywhere. The home overall was clean inside, the neighbors have a run down property with trash strewn about and acorns were constantly falling causing us to be very cautious of parking and coming in on motorcycles. The back door was also unlocked when we arrived at the property, so we did send a person in to check safety before entering. The swings out back are screwed into a 2x4, we were constantly checking to confirm they were secure. Overall, the home was nice, and the view was gorgeous, for our purpose of staying, the rooms were adequate and the accommodations satisfactory. Communication prior to the trip with the management company were fantastic.

I do appreciate the general information; however the debris, acorns, and leaves will be a constant at any lake home offering shade and privacy with neighboring trees. The home was blown off (decks, walkway, etc.) the morning of your arrival. We did report the question of stability of the swings to maintenance and they confirmed that there is bracing for the swings that supports their positioning and stability. If you join us in the future, we have some wonderful views and a more controlled parking and balcony environment at many of the area condos. Vaca at Lakeland

We enjoyed the great location and the private access to the water. Everyone had a place to sleep, all the beds, the pullout couch and futon were occupied during our stay. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, except a can opener that worked. The 2 in the drawer were not functioning and so we had to be creative when opening our cans. The dock was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of seating. We were disappointed that the mat had a large tear in it. It still worked OK but it was definitely not as easy for the kids to use with the large tear. Also, there was no laundry soap that we could find, only Downy. We had to contact management when the internet quit working. That situation was resolved quickly with the help provided. Very kind and helpful. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Very good rental

Overall a very nice property but there were definitely some things that could be improved. We had two couples and a family of four stay during our visit and although we had to get a little creative on the bedroom arrangements it worked out nicely. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows and beds were pretty comfortable. We really enjoyed hanging out on the dock and deck. We cooked two family meals during the stay and the rental had all of the items needed. We had trouble figuring out how to use the tv the first night and tried calling/texting for help. We got a response back after awhile but they just had us send a picture of the remote and we didn’t hear anything back until the next day around noon. On the second day the wifi suddenly started saying incorrect password. Annoying it took several hours to figure it out but they were much more responsive helping us troubleshoot it. There was no dock fridge as was pictured in the listing and the excuse was they lost electricity to the dock during a recent storm but the outlets were working when we were there. There are 112 stairs to the dock so having a fridge down there would have been nice! We left a note but wanted to make sure someone know the main coffee pot in the kitchen needs descaled- it won’t brew. Installing handles on the sliding glass doors would be a great improvement. They’re very difficult to open and close.

Beautiful location, bad host

Over all the stay was so so. The location is beautiful. The boat slip is amazing. There is. O hand rail on the bottom stair landing, but that probably wouldn’t affect anyone other than people with small children. All dishes in the kitchen were dirty, even the ones in the cabinets. It was very obvious that whoever this property has doing their cleaning, is screwing the property owner/manager over. Dishes were put away dirty, the bed linens were tough to deal with. They smelled as if others had been sleeping in the beds for some time now. And if not/ then there is some sort of funk to the bedding. The supply register is falling out of the ceiling above the couch in the living room, the patio furniture was not usable. I’m the photo you can tell it’s a table unit that the chairs push all the way into the table. So without someone pulling the seats out, they wouldn’t be able to tell there’s seats without bottoms and seats that are extremely loose. Grill was nasty, I’d recommend another route. The swings in the main advertisement photo are not part of the property. With small children, even though they sent playground swings, sit up swings would have been very fun. Woulda reminded us of our wedding in the Bahamas. All these issues were brought up to the property manager just to be challenged and called a liar. Goods and services received not as described. I was hoping to not leave this on a review, but nothing was rectified and the way they treated us was bad.

Jared - whenever we have an extensive amount of concerns voiced on the last day of the stay (8 hours after departure) - and a demand on how we are going to compensate for these so you don't leave a negative review - we do ask for verification. I'm sorry if that makes you feel as though we doubted your intent. On our end, it is very suspicious that the extent of the concerns mentioned during the stay were voiced after your stay. You did mention the swings, which maintenance responded to; but the swings immediately available were not of your liking. We do take all things into consideration and have evaluated all of these reported issues. I hope you find a more enjoyable stay in the future.
