Want a place to unwind, relax, enjoy nature and experience tranquility, serenity and peacefulness? Experience what our guests are repeatedly saying about their stay! Once you arrive you will not want to leave! This small gem is a newly constructed cozy 2 bedroom cabin nestled at the end of a long private gravel road, surrounded by trees and gently rolling farmland. Your very own private retreat!

Inside you'll experience a spacious living area for relaxing, playing games, reading, watching tv. Many games and movies are provided for your enjoyment as well as free Wi-Fi. A fully equipped kitchen is ready for those who enjoy cooking their own meals.

Awake in the mornings and be greeted by wild deer grazing in the fields; birds singing; and geese relaxing by the pond. Take a walk and enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding hills, sunrises, sunsets, pond, birds and other wildlife. Sit back and relax in a rocking chair or in a swing on one of the porches. There are also benches around the pond where you can watch the fish jump as well as the sun rays glittering on the water. Catch and release fishing is permitted in the pond. Wrap up your day sitting around the large fire pit that has plenty of seating for everyone.

Sundance Acres is located in the heart of bourbon country. Only 6 miles from the Bluegrass Parkway; 19 miles from Bardstown; 8 miles to historic Bloomfield; and 5 miles to Chowning Lane Boat Ramp on Taylorsville Lake. Located just 41 miles to Lexington's Blue Grass Airport and 46 miles to Louisville International Airport.

Sundance Acres is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Very private yet within close proximity to area attractions. We enjoyed Taylorsville lake area as well as Kentucky Horse Farm. We especially enjoyed fishing in the the pond and walks on the property. The cabin is immaculate and well stocked. Check in and out was effortless and hosts were very responsive. I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to this area of Kentucky.

Heaven on earth!

This peaceful and serene cabin has absolutely everything you could want or need. It far exceeded our expectations and was loaded with beautiful decor inside and out! Birds, deer, and a quiet pond made it even more perfect.Our only regret was that we didn’t book it for a longer stay!

This property is amazing! If you are looking for comfort, peace and serenity, this is it. The home is lovely, they have thought of everything. There wasn’t anything we needed to bring other than our own groceries. There is comfortable outdoor seating on both porches. We saw many birds and a few deer run through the property. Husband fished in the pond and caught a few tiny fish. Saw turtles there too! The home is beautifully decorated. When you are here, it feels like home. Not a rental property. We are checking our calendars to see when we can go back. Thank you Lori Jo for a wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. Top notch from owner communication, cleanliness, location….. Right in the middle of most distillery locations. Just a short drive east or west and you’re there. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay a night. There’s no doubt we’d stay here again. You can select this property without any hesitation.

Perfect Retreat

A friend and I needed a girls’ weekend away and this was the perfect place. Peaceful and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch drinking coffee and watching the birds visiting the feeders. If we stayed longer, we would have made use of the fire pit one night.10/10 would recommend if you just need to get away for a bit. Will definitely stay again when back in the area.

Perfect Bourbon Trail Location

This property is centrally located from Bardstown, Frankfort, & Lexington and made it easy to travel to the various distilleries. This property is secluded off the road and beautiful. The owners were an absolute pleasure and we hope to be back for a longer stay soon.

Relaxing getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week. we enjoyed watching the deer & turkeys and other wildlife (we saw a skunk and many squirrels & birds). I enjoyed catching and releasing serval good size bass. The property is just described or maybe even better. It was also a pleasure meeting the owners and sharing stories together.

Perfect retreat for our 38th Anniversary

Beautiful place with serene surroundings! We wanted a quiet place to celebrate our anniversary and close enough to visit the distilleries. Loved sitting in the back porch and watch all the birds. Kitchen is stocked with all utensils you would need for cooking .

Incredible treasure

My husband and are were on a Bourbon and Trains trip to celebrate his retirement. We could not have imagined a better stay in any way. Access to distilleries and attractions is easy and comfortable (about 25 minutes), the cabin is EVERYTHING as shown. Decor is comfortable & easy going, outside features are beautiful. We loved watching the birds & deer on the back porch. Highly, highly recommend this property and host

Peaceful and relaxing

Best place we have ever stayed! Great location to so many different things. Every little thing has been thought of with this property. I cooked most meals and did not lack a singe thing. We really needed somewhere to just rest and this place was perfect. Loved the makeup remover towelettes and the snacks were so very much appreciated after traveling for the day! I’m going to miss watching all the birds and wildlife. I can’t say enough good about this place. My husband and I loved it.

Relaxing Weekend

We were so excited to open the door of this property to see the beautiful decor, and the open floor plan. The first thing we noticed was the scent in the air; whatever they are using smells amazing and I want it for my house! The next thing we notice is how extremely clean it was. I was so impressed by everything, including the outdoor space, the items available for use inside and outside, the brochures about local attractions. The host also contacted us once we arrived, making sure that if we needed anything to reach out. They really thought of everything, and have much more available for their guests than other places we have stayed. We spent most of our time outside on the front and back porch and one evening sat down by the pond. It was so serene and the sunsets were beautiful! Another great thing about this property is the location to so many different things. You’re just a 20 minute drive from Bardstown and Lawrenceburg, and only a 40 minute drive from Frankfort. I could say so many more good things about the property. It was just the two of us for this trip, but we think our kids would love it here, too, and we look forward to coming back soon! Perfect-Perfect-Perfect!

Everything about our stay at the cabin was perfect! My hubs & I stayed for 3 nights for our 22nd wedding anniv. I can say we are kind of "cabin snobs" since we book cabins about 2x per year for quick getaways. From all the small touches (snacks on the counter, bottles of water), to the "menu" of activities on the counter, to the Christmas decorations EVERYWHERE, including outside lights, to the bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower, to the responsiveness of the host....so much goodness in this cabin. Beds were VERY comfy, shower was amazingly tiled and beautiful, the dishware was top notch (we made breakfast and grilled steaks for dinner on the gas grill). We will make it our mission to come back this coming spring or fall just so we can use the swing in the woodsy area and the swing/porch rockers on the front and back porch, along with the fire pit. The ONLY suggestion we had (by my hubs) would be to have a recliner to read in! LOL! Bardstown was close so we spent ample time there & the cabin is about an hour away from Louisville, where we went to a speakeasy and had dinner. We went to 4-Roses & Buffalo Trace Distilleries, which was about 40 min from the cabin. Next time we stay, I'd like to go to some of the wineries - there are TONS around the cabin area. In other words - BOOK THIS CABIN ASAP & even if you don't go anywhere, you will have a great time! It's so secluded! Also, I'd love to eat breakfast on the quaint table overlooking the pasture & Pond!

Wow! This was hands down the best overnight experience we've ever had. This property is an absolute gem and the hosts are simply amazing. What they have created and the experience they provide, needs to not only be acknowledged but celebrated. Every last detail is 5 star plus. The property is simply breathtaking, the house is absolutely beautiful, and the furnishings and decor are so well thought out. There was even a stunningly beautiful fall display that had been made to the left of the driveway. It welcomed us home every night...the cherry on top! Everything in the home is modern. The kitchen is huge, stocked with anything you could possibly need for cooking, the shower is simply to die for, the beds are super comfy, and the living room is so incredibly cozy. The level of cleanliness and tidiness is unmatched. It truly felt like our home away from home. If you are looking for a true getaway to unplug, unwind, and just relax, you'd be hard pressed to find a better property.
