About this property
Sherm's Shack- A historical, family owned Saugatuck home.
Welcome to “Sherm’s Shack”! Within the Historic District of Saugatuck, this 1874 farmhouse was where our parents enjoyed their retirement. We’ve had many great gatherings with friends and family, and invite you to have some here, too! The house is within walking distance from Saugatuck’s downtown shopping district and a short drive to beaches, including the city’s famous Oval Beach. If you like to hike or bike, the beginning of the Saugatuck to Holland bike trail is just down the street.
“The Shack” has plenty of parking with a backyard big enough for games and cook-outs. We have chairs and yard games available.
Our fully furnished kitchen is great for preparing meals. The dining room is great for gatherings with family or friends. Or, if you prefer, take advantage of the many restaurants in town (The Southerner is a short walk across the street).
The master bedroom is on the first floor. Steps to the second floor may be challenging for people with mobility issues.

About the host
Hosted by Sherm's daughters

We are a third generation family that has lived or vacationed in Saugatuck. Our extended family grew up in the Saugatuck/Douglas area and our parents retired here. Our kids (now all adults) enjoy Saugatuck and help with the house as well.
