As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a bright and inviting living space featuring large windows that flood the room with natural light. The well-appointed kitchen has appliances, ample counter space, and cabinetry. Whether preparing a casual meal or hosting a dinner party, this kitchen provides the perfect backdrop for culinary delights.

Top level: The kitchen, dining area, living room, enclosed porch, and queen master suite are true havens, with a luxurious bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the picturesque surroundings.

Bottom level: Two full bedrooms, a pyramid bunk bed, a laundry room, and a garage.

The backyard oasis features a beautifully landscaped yard, perfect for outdoor activities and enjoying the gentle coastal breeze. Relax on the expansive deck, dip in the sparkling pool, or relax in the hot tub.

Great Shore House for Families

We enjoyed the house and pool and access to the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped. The pool was excellent for both younger children and adults. Beach access was fairly close. Renting a beach caddy might be helpful. Although the house came with parking passes for near beach access we felt we were too close to use them. We were a short bike ride or longish walk to the Duck boardwalk. All in all this was n excellent location and lovely home for a family vacation.

Wonderful Home

Loved our week in this house & short walk to the beach! Liked that it also offered a K-cup coffee maker, an extra fridge in the garage, a corn hole game, and other extras for the pool and beach. Loved the enclosed area for the pool and hot tub with turf all around. Would be nice to have a vacuum with a pet hair attachment for the furniture and some lighting on the side of the house with the outdoor shower.

This was our first time visit going the Outer Banks. It was early September, after Labor Day, which is our favorite time to visit the beach. The house is beautiful- the yard, th pool, the hot tub, perfect! It was very clean and very close to the beach (less than a 5 minute walk to the ocean) the beach was beautiful, but rough during our visit. The town of Duck is adorable with great shopping and a good variety of restaurants to choose from. We especially loved the ample space in the house and the many porches to enjoy. The only thing we would have loved more was some more sunny days! We went to Corolla and saw the wild horses and to Nags Head to ride horses on the beach. All in all a fabulous week! Highly recommend!

Our trip was amazing and a accomodations were excellent. The place was well furnished for our needs, pool war perfect, and we enjoyed the hot tub. The location to beach, shopping, and restaurants were perfect. The lawn probably could have been mowed but the place was perfect so easily overlooked!

Duck 17 - great getaway!

Property and location were awesome and above expectations. Great for family of five and 2 pups. Dogs loved the yard, which again was more than we expected in terms of lot size, especially being as close as it is to the beach. We could walk to town or a quick stroll to the beach and come back for lunch. Kids loved the pool, which they took in nightly, or when not at beach. Would stay @ Duck 17 again without question. Highly recommended property! Paul & Wendy

Location, location, location!! Walking distance to Duck stores, boardwalk and beach. Beautiful brand new pool and backyard area. I gave the house 4 stars be cause the living room furniture needs to be replaced. The sofas were very old and dirty (I refused to sit on them). Furthermore, a light needs to be placed in the backyard.

Awesome house, super fun location!

This house is beautifully redone with a fantastic kitchen, gorgeous pool area, and really comfy living spaces. The location is amazing, with the beach access very close by and many shops and restaurants within easy walking, biking, or golf-carting distance. We rented bikes and a golf cart for the week which I highly recommend! The house truly had everything we needed for a relaxing week (the Keurig is still there for anyone who is curious) and the area is super dog-friendly! (We didn't bring ours but would definitely do it next time around!) Our youngest daughter hardly touched her phone all week which is a huge testament to the fun we had here! We had an awesome vacation at Rule Number 8!

Wonderful Stay

This property checked all of our boxes. The location was fabulous, short walk to the beach, convenient walk to shops and restaurants, along a quiet street. It was the perfect size for my husband and I and our two dogs. The renovations were nicely done and the home was very clean. We loved having the heated pool in October and the newer hot tub was nice and clean. The only two downsides were - the beds were not comfortable which was disappointing after a long beach day. And the yard was not mowed and full of briars which ended up in our dog's paws. Comfortable mattresses and a mowed lawn would make this place perfect.

Family beach retreat

This home was a wonderful last minute retreat for our family of five. The pool and location to beach were ideal for small kids. The kitchen was very well stocked (FYI there is a keurig-we came prepared for coffeemaker) which worked very well for our family because we do all Of our cooking at home due to a family allergy. The houses location to the boardwalk is unbeatable too. I also was extremely impressed with shorelines approach to customer service. They have very clear contacts for any question that could arise during your stay. They are very prompt in responding. We rent in the area multiple times a year and this was our first experience with this rental group-would not hesitate to use again or recommend them!

Great stay!

House was even prettier in person. Location is right down the street from the center of Duck and we biked with our kids (2-7yo) to Ice Cream and town events. The beach is a 5 minute, very easy walk. Stairs are a little tricky for older dogs, but house was very clean and we were grateful to be able to bring our pup. Just wanted to note that they have a Keurig, so bring pods and you do need to supply all household goods, right down to handsoap, salt and pepper, and leftover containers. House is well appointed in terms of equipment, placement of items and thoughtfulness (puzzles and games for kids!). Also wish we had known how stocked with pool/beach items they had in the garage, because we brought many items we didn’t need. They have beach chairs, pool floats, noodles, beach toys for kids, beach games, pool games! Great house, great stay!

Very nice rental

Very nice rental. Just renovated, so everything is new, including the pool. It was clean on arrival. Easy check-in and communication with the real estate company. The house was a perfect size for our family of 4 plus dog. Great location, about 4 houses down from beach access. As they just finished renovating and putting in the pool, there is no landscaping at all around the pool. I'm certain they will plant/landscape in the near future. Was also pet-friendly. Quiet neighborhood with friendly folks all around. Highly recommend renting a low speed vehicle (golf cart) for getting around town. Lots of beach/pool accessories in the garage and new washer and dryer, which was extremely useful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Best grass in the neighborhood

We paid for 1pm early check-in and arrived exactly on time. Upon arrival everything was clean and in working order. The house is as described and as the photos show. Our family was very comfortable here for the week. The two 15 year olds used the pool every day and it was nice to have that option when you hop off the beach. The outdoor shower was great to have and now we feel like we need one at home! The AC units work excellently and are very appreciated after a day in the blistering sun... sometimes we even got cold in the house. The beach is just steps away and the sound side boardwalk is at the of the street. We walked to the ice cream shop every night with the pups. The yard is wonderful for the dogs. Its all lush grass in the front and wood chips on the side. We didn't come across any cacti which is such a convenience mid-day when the sun makes the pavement too hot for puppy paws.

Almost Perfect

We loved this house. If you have small children, like us with a 3 and 2 year old, the backyard is perfect. The grass gave us room to play and the pool has a sizable shallow section. The house is also a very short walk to the beach-you can hear the waves from the house. We really liked the town--Duck's Cottage coffee was a highlight and Treehouse has delicious biscuits. The house was very clean and we appreciated the advance on what to bring to the house (dishwasher pods, detergent, etc). The house is also well stocked with chairs and beach toys in the garage. The one big issue we had with the house were the beds and the pillows. For a house this perfect, the beds leave MUCH room to be improved. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch, the beds are terrible for your back. We would make this house a yearly visit but sleep is very important to us with two littles! I also recommend better kitchen pots/pans. If the beds are improved, we will definitely be back. This house is otherwise perfect.

First family vacation

We had a great time on our first family vacation at Duck 17. Since our daughter was only 13 months old, I really wanted to find a place that had it all in case she wasn't a fan of the beach. Luckily, she was a fan! The beach was only a 2-3 min walk to the beach. However, we had a few days that were not the best beach weather and I am SO GLAD we had this perfect house to hang out in the backyard and enjoy the beautiful pool! The hot tub was perfect for mom and dad to relax in after we put baby to bed! The house itself is gorgeous and immaculately kept. There was not a grain of sand on the floor when we got there! The house has so much that you may need to be comfortable. Some beach chairs, beach toys, pool floats/noodles, two fridges, gas grill, washer/dryer, stocked kitchen with pots, pans, cookie sheets, keurig. Shoreline OBX gives you a little starter pack of TP, sponge, dish soap, dishwasher pods too which was great! Dealing with shoreline OBX was great and the rentals from Vay K life for beach gear was also seamless (you get a credit for beach rentals once you book). The only downside to the home would be a more comfortable primary bed/maybe one king sized bed in the house (my husband is 6'4” so his feet were hanging off the bed haha) and maybe some updated/more comfortable couches. Other than those two tiny details, I can not complain. The house/vacation was great! Perfect location to the beach and to downtown Duck. Would stay again and would recommend Shoreline OBX to friends!
