The house was in a great location near Bryson city center while still feeling secluded. The house was set up with guest in mind with everything needed in the kitchen to having enough more than fluffy pillows on each bed. Check in and out was easy and communication was great!
The house was perfect for three families with plenty bathrooms and two kitchens. Located minutes from downtown with quick access to everything. Nice porch wirh a large eating table and a firepit out back.
This was a wonderful place to stay for the weekend! When our prior booking in Gatlinburg was unexpectedly cancelled on Christmas Day, we were more than pleasantly surprised to find such a gem in the Smokies! We appreciated the cleanliness and well-equipped kitchen for our cooking needs. The location was excellent. We would definitely stay again!
Very convenient location but the turn off the road and then immediately heading up the steep road to the house took a little getting used too. Overall a great experience. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit one night. There was plenty of room for our group of 11 adults and 1 child.
Property was a great little get away! Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The little chocolates on the nightstands was a great touch.
My family and I really enjoyed staying at this house. It fit all of us easily and had everything that we needed for our stay. It was quiet and peaceful sitting out on the patio. The host was excellent and even let us check in early. Would definitely stay here again!
The location of this property is very private and close to the mountains, shopping, coffee shops and grocery. The house is equipped with everything you need. The hostess was great to work with and quick to respond to several needs we had. I would highly recommend this place for your next vacation.
The property was great! We had 7 adults on a hiking weekend and everything was great.
The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but didn’t cause any problems. The shower in the upstairs bathroom is perfect for a skinny midget.
We had the best time at Fiddlers Ridge. The house was very clean, fully stocked with everything you need for a getaway and the little touches didn’t go unnoticed. The Christmas tree and decorations were so nice. Communication with the owners was excellent and we truly enjoyed our stay. Highly Recommended!
House was great, as described but not what we call mountain views. If you look hard between trees you could make out a mountain but my fault for not asking for long range mountain views. Perfect location to GSMRR and the kids found plenty to do-loved jumping in the leave piles.
Great House with enough space for everyone to have a room of their own. Nice touches with a Christmas tree for the holidays, made it even more special for our family. Loved the gas stove, we were able to take all of our meals at the house while there for the weekend. Definitely a house I would rent again! Owners were very accommodating in every way and responsive when contacted. We had a great time!
Conveniently located to Bryson City. We loved the mud room adjacent to the laundry/billiard room. We stored bins, bags, etc. It was great to stage our trips for rafting, fishing, GSMR, elk watching, Darnell Farm’s pumpkin patch picking, corn maze, hay ride, etc. Our 4 grand children enjoyed the property as much as parents and grandparents did. We highly recommend!
I had planned our family vacation for the Polar Express Experience back in Feb 2024 for the weekend of 22 - 24 Nov. I had specific needs and this house met every expectation and exceeded them. Gene and RaeLynn were great to work with. Our ages ranged from 62 yrs old down to 20 months. The house was perfectly situated to Bryson City. Easy to get the young ones back from downtown for their naptime.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy

The house was adequate with communication prior to stay prompt and informative. The fact that one must leave the main house to enter the small apartment underneath was inconvenient. Locking interior stairs would have been useful. The main objection was the neighborhood. The homes and trailers on the way to the house were trashy and actually, a bit scary. It was hard to believe that house was located that close to a very trashy area. This was not revealed in the listing.

We try to be very descriptive about our space. Our listing says “The apartment is accessed from the back of the house and does not have a connecting door on the interior of the house.”
We are sorry that the neighborhood didn’t meet your standards. We have had zero issues with our neighbors. They are not dangerous or scary. In fact they have been wonderful neighbors. The Appalachian mountains area has a decent bit of poverty and low income. It always has. Though some houses on our street are not high income, they are good people just trying to make the best of their life. We have noticed that some of our neighbors have recently been working on some home improvements of their own. Maybe that was some of the “trashy”-ness you were seeing. We would not ever have a vacation rental in an unsafe neighborhood. We wish you had reached out about your concerns about the neighborhood during your stay. We could have reassured you that the neighbors are great and that we have not ever had any issues with them. Maybe that could have provided some comfort and relief during your stay. We are sorry we were not able to meet your expectations. We strive to create a great home for one’s enjoyment of Bryson City and the surrounding areas.
We loved our stay!! Came to the area to ride the Nantahala Gorge Train for my birthday weekend. The entire home was very nice. The pictures do not lie the home is tucked away nice and cozy. Ivtook advantage of the nice deck around 2:30 am to listen to the rain. RaeLynn & Gene allowed us to even check in about thrity minutes early. Everything is very close by. We would definitely stay again.

RaeLynn & Gene love to spend time in the mountains and in nature. They love fishing and hunting and anything outdoors. Being outside resets them and grounds them. Why they chose this property
We loved this property when we first saw it. It is so bright and warm and inviting. We love the nature feel inside and out. It is a very well-built custom home.
Our favorite things about the property include: the secluded feel at the end of the road in the Smoky Mountain Forest the half bath feels like you're in the forest with the log wall and the leaf sink the circle wall opening between the dining room and living room- it's a cool feature the closeness to town and all that Bryson City has to offer the master bathroom is really nice with the glass shower and the tub the wood beams, wood floors, and wood stove all add a warm, comfortable cabin feel the pool room- we weren't sure what to use that space for initially but really felt that a pool table was the perfect fit for that space and for our guests the proximity to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, the Tail of the Dragon, numerous mountain lakes, rivers, streams, and waterfalls, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and so much more!
There is so much that we love about this property! We really wanted to share this wonderful home with our own family and friends and other fantastic guests!
