Loved being able to come back here and stay at Maggie's Linden House. This was my family's 5th visit here. You cannot beat the location, and the beds are even better then I remember from the last time. Thank you for allowing us to stay at Linden House!

Great accommodations for a family. Near beaches, attractions, children's museums and trains. This home was very comfortable for a family adventure. We especially liked the screened-in porch for dinners and just to relax. Our pet cat also enjoyed the porch to watch the deer, chipmunks, and birds. It was a great trip.

Perfect location, lots of room and pass to local beach a huge bonus.
Beautiful quiet location. Master bedroom is amazing. Screened in porch was perfect and big. A huge plus. I will definitely be back. The pass to Waco Beach was a great bonus. A beautiful beach that is so easy to get in and out of and very peaceful.

The house was just right for our Family Get-Away Weekend. Enough rooms for each family to have their own room. The walk to the beach each morning was perfect for the group to take the dog for a good walk. Spent time at breweries and wineries in the area. Also, spent some good family-time in the screened in porch.

Lots of family space, great well stocked kitchen. Short walk to nice fruit market. All the beach toys, chairs and towels we needed. Plenty of shade, house stays cool. Convenient walk to dunes, 5 miles to a great beach. Our third year at this house, we’ll be back!
Great except disappointed with the picture showing the lake outside the back with a path to the lake, and that was not there. One reason we choose the place.

The house was perfect for us! 5 adults, 6 week old baby and our dog. Well equipped kitchen for cooking, great spaces so we could spread out - porch, deck, sunroom and yard. We could walk to Lake Michigan as well as a wine bar. We are already talking about going again! Thanks to the team who were so responsive- Donna Sue and her husband.

What a wonderful property and location this was. Easy walk to Warren Dunes. Found good pickleball play nearby. Home had everything, even for the 3 weeks we were there we didn't have to buy any paper products. AC worked fine when we needed it. Hosts very communicative whenever I had questions. Would absolutely go back there again.

Perfect getaway!
We wanted a quick getaway for my girlfriends 50th birthday, Maggie's house was just perfect! Four couples, beautiful fall weather, fire pit outside, awesome master bedroom ...the list goes on and on! It's a quick trip from Chicago, and less than a 10 minute walk to the beach, even in November!! Sure to be a place I will continue to enjoy over and over again! Thanks MAGGIE!!

What a wonderful stay we had in this lovely home within walking distance of the Lake Michigan dunes & beaches. We relaxed in the comforts this property afforded us, and the location allowed for an easy drive from the Chicago area. We enjoyed walking the beaches, building bonfires, and sitting on the porches while watching the seasons begin to change. Every detail in this home has been attended to with great care. Linden House Review
Three of us rented the house initially for 5 weeks while we worked in the area. We then extended our stay and additional 10 days due to additional work. The owner was easy to deal when we were initially setting up the lease and also during the 10 day extension at the end of the job (we were day-to-day on the final date and she was flexible enough to understand that we did not know the exact end-date of our rental).
In addition, the house was clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. I also dealt with the owner about the cable and WiFi on the first day and she had these resolved immediately.
All-in-all a very positive experience and we plan on coming back.

Great for Sister's Weekend
This cottage was clean and roomy for our Sister's Weekend. Communication was great with the owner. Wi-Fi worked well. The kitchen is well stocked. The AC worked great. Plenty of bathrooms for four females! Only small drawback was we had to bring our own towels to use on our last night and had to wash the ones available at the cottage. (I was traveling beforehand and not coming from my own home and this may have been a problem since I only found out closer to our arrival date but was able to use my sister's.) However, this would not keep me from renting this cottage again as I did give it a 5-star rating. Enjoyed our time at this cute rental cottage.

Missing Bedroom, and Soap
How a host/owner handles challenges that arise during a guest stay factors into a fair review. When sink pipes disassembled, creating a messy flood and preventing use of the kitchen, our host did what she could to rectify the problem. What was far more disappointing was the utterly unusable futon in the uncomfortably cold uninsulated porch, which the host had proposed as a 4th bedroom. We managed, by pulling a stained mattress from a bedroom and placing it on the floor of the master. This wasn't an ideal solution for 65 year old women. If its a three bedroom cottage, let's call it that. Also, it would also have been nice to find a bar of soap in the showers, if not shampoo and conditioner. Instead, we used the hand liquid soap until we got to the store. Small, gracious elements make a big difference in an overall experience, and memory.

Carolyn, naturally we are disappointed that your stay was not perfect. We appreciate your understanding that we did everything within our power to fix the sink immediately. Luckily, it happened late on your last night. It didn't bar use of the entire kitchen, but since having use of the sink for breakfast in the morning before checkout was the main concern, we offered to buy breakfast for the whole group at a lovely nearby restaurant.
The three-season porch has heaters. If there were questions about the heat, we could have helped with that. This is the first time we have been told the futon is unusable. My friends have used it and we are just shy of 60. It clearly states in our description that the three-season porch can be used as a fourth bedroom, but it isn't listed as a four-bedroom house. The porch is delightful in summer with all the windows open. Also, there is another futon already in the master bedroom, so the mattress was not necessary.
We offered an early check-in, which was taken advantage of six hours prior to the usual arrival time. We also offered a late check-out. We responded immediately when we were apprised of the sink. If we had been told of these other issues, we could have suggested some alternatives.
We do provide many amenities at the house including all paper products, dish and hand soap, laundry soap, linens, towels, kitchen ware, appliances, yard chairs, beach chairs, Weber grill, etc. We have always assumed our guests would prefer their own personal hygiene products, but will take your suggestion and add shampoo and conditioner for the upcoming season.
Thank you for your feedback, as we will use it to make our home more comfortable for the next guests.

Perfect home for families
We loved the large yard which was perfect for games of catch and campfires with s'mores. We found the kitchen well stocked and plenty of room to cook large family dinners. The extra fridge in the garage really helped with the adult beverages.
The screened in porch was great for eating and for sitting and reading the papering in the early morning when the deer came to visit outside the yard. This is very wood area and so nice and quiet. Flashlights at night are helpful for navigating to the beach or outside.
I was concerned when we arrived and the a/c was not on. I did not need to worry because when it did get hot the window units did a great job. My only suggestion was to have a little step stool in the main bedroom to turn on the a/c since it is over the wardrobe.
Next year I will not lug dish soap, paper towels and TP since the house was so well supplied. Move in ready just bring your food.
If I must give a negative it was that the kitchen needed a sharper paring knife or a sharper. If this is my only negative I would say it was a great vacation home.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Nice house, great neighorhood, misleading ad.
Ad says 4 bedrooms "sleeps 10" which is not true. It has 3 bedrooms and a den with pullout couch - for which there were no sheets, pillows or blankets. The blankets eventually found smelled bad. After leaving, we were accused of moving furniture around and leaving food "everywhere." This is simply not true. We totally emptied both refrigerators and left only that food already in the cabinet when we arrived. New appliances were great but no soap was provided for dishwasher. Guests should be told to bring their own. Finally, we were accused of staining the living room and hallway rug. We should have taken pictures upon our arrival to show that the stains were already there. Unfortunately, it was a "he said, she said" situation so i just paid the extra cleaning fee and consider it a lesson learned. One final thought - the accusations came after the host said she personally inspected the house on Sunday following our departure on FRIDAY! Thats 48 hours after we left. As they say in the legal profession, there was no chain of evidence linking my family to the "mess" we allegedly left. This is all moot. We will not be returning to the Linden House.
