Great Location

This property is just a short walk to Thames St, where there is alot of shopping, restaurants and bars. But far enough from all of the action. It is located on a quiet, quaint street. We visit Newport quite often, we have family in the area. Would definiltely stay here again.

We liked the location and the towels

This place is clean, but in need of sprucing up. Entering with the code to our room was challenging. One day we were completely locked out of the building because owner left out part of the instructions. That said, they did respond quickly whenever we had problems. Modest accommodations in a really good location.

Dark and run down

The space was ok but it was totally unattractive outside of the entrance the chairs out there looked damp old and moldy not at all a ‘welcoming place to sit. walking into the stairwell upon entry from outside it looked like a slum. There was no signage and it was very hard to find the entrance even in daylight. While it was clean inside it felt very cold and damp. There is little natural light so more light sources inside would have been better. The sheets were poor quality. The pillows were lumpy. The ceiling has a patch that looks like a leak took place and it was still unrepaired. The windowsill in the bathroom looked like it had not been painted in 50 years and I found a spider in my water glass. Other tenants who shared the entry stair did not lock the exterior door upon exiting leaving acesss to the interior stair hall completely unsecured. There should be a sign explaining how to and reminding tenants to lock up upon exiting. It was always a bit nerve wracking to go into the entry as a single woman.
