A romantic guest suite with a private outdoor space for dining ,sunning or reading your favorite book while listening to the waves crashing below.
The most spectacular feature of our studio is the view from every location. One feels like they are totally emersed in the beauty of the sea with total privacy
The studio is equipped with a kitchenette. Mini fridge, and microwave. Coffeemaker and kettle .
This suite is on the ocean bluff and not appropriate for children or pets.

Every detail is perfect. The view is incomparable. We could just sit in the perfect little garden and watch the ocean hitting the rocks, the sea birds flying by, for hours. The hosts thought of everything, from the homemade cookies to the drinks and snacks in the refrigerator greeting us. The most perfect spot for a relaxing stay on the Mendo coast.

The views are incredible! The room is clean, there were a few drinks in the fridge already waiting for us after a long drive in along with fresh baked cookies. We spent a very relaxing week here!

We have stayed in Mendocino at least 40 times over the past 20 years. We have stayed at high end places, low end places, and everything in between. Abalone Arch is by far our favorite. It is thee absolute best ocean view in Mendocino. The suite is relaxing and well appointed. The generous touches, like wine and drinks in the mini fridge were so appreciated. The homemade cookies made us feel at home, welcomed, and we're a lovely treat with the wonderful morning coffee. The view from the shower was such a highlight. This suite offers everything we seek out on our vacation....serenity, beautiful views, comfort, convenient location, and all our creature comforts. Thank you to our hosts!

This was our 3rd time staying here and it was just as beautiful and comfortable as we remember! Such a serene space to just relax, and the location is perfect. So close to many National parks, as well as the towns of Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves after a full day of hiking and exploring is the ultimate perfect experience. Love it here, can’t wait to return for our 4th visit

Oh my heavens, I can’t imagine a more beautiful location. The view from the backyard is unreal. It looks like a painting! Even their yard in the front is so beautiful. My husband and I loved our anniversary stay here. We enjoyed the area too. Went for a hike, massage, golfing, outdoor movie, and to a yummy Italian restaurant. It was perfect. The only thing is I wish I brought warmer clothes. I underestimated how chilly it would be (end of May.) We would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

We love to travel off the beaten path and this place is magical! Cozy, rugged, quiet, except for the ocean beating on the rocks, wonderful walking trails and good eats in both nearby towns! we both read a whole novel for the first time in a while - it's that simple and restful. Eagerly plan to return...hosts were great!

I have been blessed to travel around the world, but this was the most beautiful and peaceful place I have ever stayed!!! The view was amazing! The sound of the waves hitting the rocks at night... Like a lullaby. The room and bathroom had literally everything we could want or need!! It was so nice to wake up to true coffee and creamer after getting in late the evening before. We never spoke with owners, but they were close if we needed them!!

We had the most amazing birthday weekend and didn’t want to leave! So relaxing and the ocean views can’t be beat. Beautiful property and perfect location. Can’t wait to visit again.

We are long term residents of Mendocino and enjoy traveling the world.
We live on the property in the main house. The guest suite is totally private with your own entrance . The only only thing we share is the front gate and the driveway.
There is 100% privacy inside your suite as well as outside .
We enjoy having guests spend time in our little hideaway!

Why they chose this property

We not only have a secluded ocean front but we are nestled in-between Russian Gulch State park and Point Cabrillo park that are both less than a mile away and have miles and miles of hiking trails. Both can be reached by walking just outside our gate.
There is also 1909 Lighthouse that has coves and bluffs to explore as well as a lighthouse museum.

What makes this property unique

We are located less than a mile from the town of Mendocino which has restaurants, museums, shops, theatre and the headlands trails for hiking
Jackson State forest is close with 100 miles of hiking trails.
Big river offers kayaking, paddleboarding, expansive sunny beaches for all to enjoy.
