Step out of the king bedroom directly onto your private patio. The heated pool is right there — shared among the four Anna
Cabana bungalows, surrounded by tropical landscaping, and consistently warm. The outdoor shower is around the corner for rinsing off after beach days. This is the flow guests describe as heaven — bedroom to patio to pool to beach, all within a few steps.

Anna Cabana Bungalow #2 was completely renovated in 2025. The 507-square-foot layout is more spacious than Bungalow #1, with a generous bedroom, a full kitchen with updated appliances, and a private patio at 12'6" x 17'2" — large enough for dining, lounging, and genuinely living outside. Built in 1950 as a classic Old Florida beach resort, the bones and character are original. The renovation brought everything else up to date.

The king bed earns consistent praise from guests. The bathroom is more spacious than Bungalow #1. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size appliances, water purifier system, and everything needed for meals at home. The living area has a pull-out sofa for a third guest, 1-gig WiFi, and a flat-screen TV. Beach chairs, and beach towels are all provided — grab them and head across the street.

The Gulf beach is 100 yards away — less than a two-minute walk. Skinny's Place is three minutes on foot. Manatee Public Beach and Anna Maria Beach Cafe are five minutes. Publix grocery is 400 yards. The free Anna Maria Island trolley stops nearby. Guests consistently report not needing their car for the entire week.

Guests have been returning to Bungalow #2 for up to 11 consecutive years. Some book the same week every year before they've checked out of the current one. The 2025 renovation gives them something new to come back to — the location is why they never left.

Shared laundry facilities are available on-site. Parking is included.

Wonderful Stay in Anna Cabana 2

We had such a great week here, the property was wonderful and perfect for myself and my daughter. Just minutes from the beautiful beach, it offered a quiet retreat with a pool just outside our back door. The bungalow was stocked with everything we needed and the grocery store was just a short walk away. We had great neighbours during our stay as well. We will definitely return to this beautiful island!

A real gem in AMI

Reviewer Comments: The weather was beautiful, Anna Cabana 2 was very nice. we really enjoyed the outdoor shower and how we can step out of the unit to the patio and to the pool. Close to the beach, easy walk, close to Skinny's and far enough away from the public beach to be able to get a good spot to put up our Cool Cabana (check it out) and have a great day at the beach. Parking was great. They could trip the palm tree that blocks the walk.

Since we visited in Dec/Jan the heated pool was a must and the pool temp was perfect for swimming in 60-70 degree air temps. Kids swam all day and night. 3 minute walk to Skinny’s and Beach Cafe’. King mattress was very comfortable. Ample storage for all of our belongings. Outside shower was a huge hit with our kids. Will definitely return!!!

I can’t imagine seeking out another location other than Anna Cabana Bungalow #2.We were fortunate in finding this cozy little bungalow. Beach, restaurants and shops were all within walking distance. The bungalow was clean and supplied with everything you should need. The pool was fabulous. Thankfully, no rain the 10 days we stayed here. The only negatives we have is that the washing machine broke down over the weekend and we had to go to a laundromat and also those creepy Palmetto bugs found their way inside but I guess they’re everywhere in Florida. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would request this unit again in a heartbeat

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I came to AMI at the recommendation of a couple of my coworkers and didn't know what to expect, in fact every time someone asked us where we were going and we said Anna Maria Island most responded with "where?" , or "never heard of it!" After staying for a week we can truly say it is a hidden gem. The Anna cabana bungalow #2 was perfect for us, it was clean and updated with plenty of space for two. We were literally a few short steps to the pool and an effortless walk from door to ocean. The outdoor patio was nice and the outdoor shower was a very welcome amenity. We can't overstate how perfect the location is. Three out of the four bungalows were occupied but you wouldn't even have known as the property does a good job of giving you your own private space. The only issue we experienced is that our air conditioner stopped working halfway through our stay but Island Vacation Properties had it fixed within 24 hours and we were able to stay in bungalow #1 (also a great bungalow albeit a little more cozy, and at the time of this review the pics for bungalow #1 don't account for the numerous updates they did to that unit) for a night until it was repaired. Overall we were very pleased with our stay on AMI and at the Anna Cabana Bungalows, we will definitely be back on the island and wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of the bungalows at Anna Cabana. What are you waiting for?! Stop reading an book already!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a little paradise! It was heaven walking out of the bedroom onto our private patio. We'd drape our towels over the clean white fence and glide into the crystal clear pool. We enjoyed having the pool to ourselves several times during our stay, but when the other bungalow guests joined us, it was very pleasant meeting them and sharing recommendations for dining and activities. The king sized bed was comfy, the kitchen appliances seemed brand new ( loved the water purifier system in frig), and the parking space was just out the front door. MANATEE BEACH with the ANNA MARIA BEACH CAFE are just a 5 minute walk away and not to be missed. Our dream is to return to AMI next spring with the whole family and fill up all 4 bungalows!

Reviewer Comments: The location was everything for this property, as for the amenities especially for the beach they were scattered between the other units so we didn’t know which ones were ours so we just rented our own. The property could be better maintained and could have been cleaned better. I’m unsure if I would recommend this property to a friend, once again the location is what made this place.

Bedroom was separated from the bathroom, and entry from pool was through bedroom, an odd floor plan.
