I do not recommend anyone staying here. We booked for 4 nights because my mother in law was in a Portland hospital. Coming home from the hospital the second day, we opened the door and the house was on fire upstairs and the house was filled with smoke. I called 911 and the fire department quickly arrived. I called the owner and he arrived too. The fire was upstairs and the firemen told me it was very lucky we arrived when we did and that that probably saved the house from burning down. They later told me it was wiring in the wall upstairs that started the fire. Our clothes there were ruined from smoke, we had smoke inhalation and had to move out. The owner told me he still wanted to charge us for the one night even though we had to move out in to a more expensive hotel. Ultimately we were notified we would get 100 less back than what we had paid. I contacted VRBO and they said that they had no control over what the host/owner pays us back. We are still waiting for the refund. Also I don't believe the stairs in the house are up to code - this house was not a safe place for us. I can't believe that the host/owner wasn't a lot more grateful for us discovering the fire and getting the fire department out to save it. This was a terrivle experience for us. we definitely do not recommend anyone staying here.

this was an amazing space for my son and myself while we were checking out Portland and touring some colleges. It was clean, well lit spacious, and more than adequate for our needs. The host was in good communication and we have nothing but good things to say about this place.

Great find! The location was near everything! Easy to get to Downtown Portland, the airport, and forest in the area. The renter was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The home was clean and had what we needed.
